Opinions/thoughts on this bridesmaid dress in the color shown for a fall outdoor wedding? The colors we are using are purples, blues, and some gold undertones. The wedding is semi-formal, but not black tie. Half of the groomsmen will be wearing their formal white Navy suits and the other half will be in dark suits. My dress is strapless and the bodice has a similar criss crossing effect with a belt around the waist. It is A line similar to the cut of this dress (although much fuller) in a tulle material with a full train. The bridesmaid dress pictured is mostly satin with a section in the front that is tulle (the part in the picture that looks sort of like a slit). Do you think the tulle part will be a nice touch or look tacky (it’s hard to tell in the picture). The color in person is a bit darker and appears slightly more bluish. The bridesmaids range in size from 4-22. What do you think?

@ggbride2be: I like it! Out of the 5 weddings I have been in, only 1 bridesmaid dress was a floor length gown and I loved it! That a great color, too…. It complements a lot of skin tones. Just make sure your girls are ok with strapless dresses

Congrats! I’m also getting married in the fall. I have almost the exact same dresses for my bridesmaid in a purple-ish shade as well. I think that the dress is very pretty and is a good length for the cooler months. I think it’s a nice touch when the maids dresses resemble the brides. It just helps everything tie in a little nicer.

@Miss_Me: Do you happen to have a pic of the dress you chose that you could post? I am leaning toward ordering the one I posted, but would love to see a few more options!

I like it! if people aren’t okay with the strapless you can add a shawl to it…..that’s what I did wiht my BM’s….

Do you like the one strap dress? Maybe add some small flowers around the shoulder with some simple style ? I think if you have several bridesmaid, it maybe better to have different style for them with the same color and same material.
