So here are 2 pictures of how I want my tables to look with some rose petals spread out on the table. -v
gMight I say there will be Dark purple roses and carnations in the main white vase and then white candles in the votives and lantern. I’m doing half and half. 7 tables with the white vases and 8 with the lanterns. That might change. I’m thinking 15 tables, but who knows the number of people might change.
Here’s the inspiration picture I saw that inspired me, but my ideas/plans changed a little bit as you can see.
Also tables will be circle with Black table linens and then white chairs with black sashes/bows. Also doing small mini pumpkins for favors. Thought they would be used and not a bad wedding favor being October 7th, so close to Halloween and all. Good decorations for people at their places of living.
Oh and here is a picture of my reception venue. -v
Mill Creek Golf Club in Geneva, IL.
Sorry for all the pictures..
So, What do you all think?

I love the lantern. I think the silver gives your tablescape a nice pop and fall vibe. For option one can you put anythink sparkly around the votives or flower box (or are they from the site)?

I can the vases I’ve been doing myself and the votives I ordered online. The table numbers I did myself and then I added the pearls to the table number holders. I also have been buying the mirrors from my work, I work at a Joann Fabric store.
What do you mean sparkle? I like the candle light effect, not sure how to add sparkle.

I love mixing it up and having two centerpieces throughout… love it! As for sparkle, I know what Ms.Clean means. maybe some fake purple jewels to scatter on the mirrow to add that extra sparkle. I do like a little sparkle on the mirror.

I really like the latern, but I don’t like the mirror underneath it. I think it contrasts too much.

I think your centrepiece ties all your table together nice. Contrary to the advice about the mirror, I think this will compliment all the shiny silver cutlery and tablewear well 🙂

I love the lantern. Maybe do a silver charger plate underneath instead of the mirror?

I’m doing lanterns as well, so I LOOOOVE this. I actually like the mirror, but wouldn’t mind if it was gone either.

I think it looks good so far! I really like the purple-black-white combo and the lanterns. I’m thinking of doing lanterns at half of my tables as well.
P.S. We’re not that far from each other… and my Fiance is from Geneva! 🙂

I like the colors… not 100% crazy about the laterns.
Now you are making me wonder if I should do black linens with white napkins… hmmmm. Might have to do a poll
Post # 12
I’m doing the mirrors cause it will help the purple pop more and the light from the candle show a little more. Not that anyone will notice the mirrors. I will also have purple rose petals scrattered on the tables. I want more candle light, than sparkle on the tables. I love candlelight. My dress has some sparkle, so I guess I wanna be the only thing that sparkles.
Yay I love black linens and then I’m doing white chairs with black sashes. I was gonna do purple table wear, but I’m doing the purple more as an accent color. My bridesmaid dresses are a plum from david bridal.
Also with having purple flowers. Might have some purple lighting, not sure yet. I’m trying to not go over board with the little details that many people won’t even notice or care for, unless they are like me.
Also didin’t think of sparkle only thought of what I wanted which was Damask, Pearls, Purple and Candlelight =) So hopefully my dress will be enough sparkle for my wedding.
Melanie422 My fiance is from Geneva too. I’m from Saint Charles. I love lanterns too. Once I saw these with the purple, I fell in love and had to have some.
Thanks all for your comments and opinions. =)

What about white glitter paint to the white vases?? What do you all think of that?
