Yesterday we went to the zoo! Today its rainy so we’re probably going to have a lazy day. We’ll take the dog on a long walk if the rain let’s up later.

We geocache together. It’s hot here too. We wear cool clothes and make sure to bring lots of water. Gets us both out of the house and doing something physical and we get to log each find together. Then we get to come home and cuddle/watch TV.

Saturday mornings are always spent food shopping, running errands and cleaning. Saturday afternoons/evenings we try to see family and friends. Sundays are exclusively lazy. We sleep in then make ourselves a big breakfast and just have a lazy day in.

Our favorite non lazy activities include museums, zoos, aquariums, nature walks and just tooling around places like Bass Pro Shops and Target.

We seem to spend a lot of time doing chores / home projects. Blah. We also often go out to brunch, and we try to go hiking or skiing fairly often (but need to more!!). Then we usually make dinner or grill, sometimes with friends over. If we don’t have friends over, we usually watch a movie with dinner. Sometimes go out to dinner or to a movie.

Hiking, camping, visit new/favorite breweries, we build furniture which is usually a weekend project, but still lots of lazy weekends which I really enjoy.

We went to Silver Lake Park in Staten Island last Saturday; Prospect Park in Brooklyn Yesterday.  There’s a lot to do and see in NYC, but our fave is to go on long strolls and visit parks and gardens through the city.

We do a pretty even balance of lazy days and going out to wineries and breweries, visiting nearby cities, going to museums, going to the movies, hiking, kayaking

Friday night is almost always karaoke night; oftentimes, we go out for karaoke on Saturday nights, too, if we don’t have other conflicts.

Most weekends we have a family event or friend’s party that we’ve been invited to, so we usually have something like that going on. For instance, yesterday we went to a beer fest at the zoo with my fiance’s siblings and their spouses; this afternoon we will go over to my parents’ house for barbecue and cake for my dad’s birthday.

If we don’t have any such events going on, then we will go on an excursion of our own to a museum or to check out a new brewery or see a movie, or we’ll make plans with friends we haven’t seen in awhile. Our weekends are usually pretty packed, and we almost don’t know what to do with ourselves when we have an entirely free weekend! 😆

We need to try really hard to save money at the moment, so it’s usually long walks around the city, picnic in a park, (free) exhibitions, day trips to the seaside or something similar (just exploring new places really), the odd concert/gig, or being lazy and cooking something good & watching a film.

Work during the week is exhausting for me at the moment, so I try and keep the weekends relatively free/unplanned, otherwise it stresses me out.

We live in the PNW, so in the summer we do as many outdoor activities as we can, especially hiking, kayaking, bike riding, white water rafting, etc. We are also working on various projects around the house, and do a fair bit of shopping. 🙂

I do really love a lazy weekend every now and again to relax and recharge! We also take quite a few weekend get always throughout the year. We love going to the coast, to our local national parks, and sometimes up to Canada.

Our weekends are pretty lazy.  DH is a huge sports fan & he always has something to watch.  I’ll sit next to him on the couch and read or plan our next trip.  We can also get sucked into the vortex of  good TV binge, we’ve been doing the office lately too.

We often have a social event with friends/family.  We will walk the dogs together, ride bikes together.  Sometimes we’ll make a day of it and go on a long, 40+ mile bike ride either out to the lake or into the city, check out street art, relax by the river, stop for some food & beers.

We aren’t big DIY’ers so we don’t have much for home projects but occasionally we’ll do something like make fresh pasta together or head to a nursery to browse & maybe bring home a plant or two.  We also do some volunteering.

Hubby and I do the same thing most weekends: we just relax. We do go visit my parents or his brother once in a while for a bonfire in the country but he has a labour intensive job and usually isn’t up for much which I don’t mind at all.

We do go hiking some weekends early in the morning because it’s low key and we’re not the type to go to bars or anything like that.

First we catch up on all the sleep he’s missed during the week! And then a nice brunch and walk with the dogs. Then we usually do an activity, sometimes disc golfing, actual golfing, watch a movie, fishing, go hiking, or go on a weekend trip! But we always make sure it’s focused on relaxation so the night always wraps up with a glass or wine or beer while cuddling on the couch with our pups. And we eat really well on the weekends.

my husband works a second job on the weekends (full day saturday, half day sunday) and usually goes out with his friends either friday or saturday evening. i don’t really leave the house, so when he is home we watch movies or chat or read to each other.
