My Fiance and I are stumbling to find activities to do together. Most of my interests and hobbies are more personal things (ie, photography, crafts) and he is more into things like anime (which I try to get into, but am having a hard time really enjoying) and video games (I am video game challanged!) We are running out of shows to watch on netflix and I am tiered of listening to him play guitarsmith all night.
Which leads me to this question, what do you and your Fiance do together for fun. Do you have common hobbies? What do you do at night together (besides tv)?

@auggiefrog: Fiance is into video games as well. I played with him for awhile, but then I became too restless. Sometimes the game would take a few hours of our time and I was beginning to feel really lazy.
Right now we like to play Mario Party 9 together. It’s a lot of fun even though Fiance always beats me. Haha. We need to find some other hobbies to do together though. Oh, we do go to the gym together though we don’t actually interact during that time. That’s always a great motivation though.

SO and I are both pretty big nerds. Usually at night we would just sit on the couch and watch The Big Bang Theory (or BBT as we now call it) or we would just sit together and read. A few weeks ago we both downloaded an app on our iphone that’s a great trivia game that we can easily play together. So we will lay in bed and play this stupid trivia game for an hour or so. It’s funny to hear what each others answers are and it’s fun to see how different our knowledge bases are. We’ve also started working out together or at least going to the gym together and we’re going to play tennis once a week.

Board games! Carcassonne is one of our favorites and really fun for two players.
Sometimes Darling Husband and I will play iPad games together, like Draw Something or Words With Friends, while we’re watching TV.
Do Crossword puzzles together – this can also be done on a phone or tablet.
Or you could cook/bake together.

@SapphireRose: I saw a poster at Walmart of Dr. Sheldon Cooper that had BAZINGA! across the top. I totally wanted it. Hahaha.

We walk our dogs, play with our dogs, cuddle our dogs, talk about our dogs, talk to our dogs…etc. Seriously. Fiance and I have very little in common, but when it comes to our pups we are just two (nerdy) peas in a pod.
Besides that though, we don’t do much just the two of us besides eat dinner and watch TV – we spend a lot of our free times with friends and family – but that is something I want to change. I’m thinking in the summer I’m going to do my best to make sure we’re doing at least 2 date nights a month, just us.

We play board games together and go for walks and window shop and stuff (: We also love watching TV together which seems boring but after being in class and doing reading it’s a nice way to relax

Darling Husband loves his Xbox and sometimes Ill give in and play Kinect Sports with him etc…
We LOVE the outdoors so riding 4wheelers, fishing, hunting, shooting guns.
We go to the park and runjog with the dogs.
We both LOVE NFL football so we watch our team, go to games, etc.

We love going to the movies, and out to dinner. We also go for walks, go camping, or go to the beach. And of course we have our TV nights!

My fiance and I quiz each other on movie/tv quotes all the time. We also go hiking when it’s nice. Since we own our home we do a lot of yardwork and home repair projects together. Nothing says love like texturing and painting a ceiling!
He plays computer games, which I’m not really into, but I use the time to read. We’ve made a game out of looking at each other and making faces when the other person isn’t paying attention. It keeps us connected when we’re busy doing our own thing.

We have been doing puzzles together, and we also go for walks. But I think we all get stuck in the tv/computer rut. For video games I would suggest playing some old school games like Mario, because those tend to be more fun (for me anyway) than sports or car games or whatever. you could learn a new skill together, like golfing or tennis, or train for a 5k together. Maybe some home improvement projects?

Dirtbiking, shooting, watching our favorite shows, and occaisonally I will play video games with him.

I ditto the board games, we don’t have a lot of time to paly them during the winter when I’m in school, but holidays and summer that’s a lot of fun. We also take “mini day vacations together” like some place that’s 2-4 hours away where we have never been before. We go camping, the movies, and cooking.
Last summer we started extreme couponing together which was a lot of fun, but again that’s a something we can only do during the summer.
Lately, wedding planning is all we do. lol

We golf alot together. (All spring/summer long!) & As much as possible. 🙂
Hiking! We love living in the mountains & when we are not golfing we are usually at the breaks interstate park (about 20 minutes from where we live) grilling out, picnicing, then hitting the mountains!
Also we just got a bike (crotch rocket) & will be riding that alot this summer. My husband is ready to get his license soon (he has his learners.) I hope to follow behind & get mine.
We play xbox together (playstation3, forgot we gave our xbox to my little sister) on days we can’t go out. Board/card games are also fun! Movie nights are always nice as well. We have also been snow tubing at a ski resort a couple times. These happen more so in the cold months. During the summer we like to go out as much as possible & golf, hike, play ball, ect.
We go to the park & play basketball together.
Go to nascar races, basketball games, ect. when we can! We also take our dog to the park & she goes hiking with us! We have also been shooting a few times together & its so fun! My husband has three guns so I would love to go shooting some more.
& Just for visual. 🙂
This is the first day we ever golfed, back in summer 2010.
Beautiful mountain top views with our dog Sophie.

@auggiefrog: Have you guys ever thought about finding a hobby you both like & would enjoy together? There are so many! You guys could even take a class together. Like a cooking class or painting class. Maybe pick up a new sport? Tennis, volleyball, basketball just to name a few. Its really fun once you find the one sport you like! For us its golf. I would have NEVER dreamed of liking golf. My uncle in law had us try it & we have been hooked ever since!
