Um, everything. We have the location, my dress, and food picked out.
We still need:
- To design our altar
- Meet with our ordained friend about vows,
- secure rentals,
- start creating playlists,
- cake order (going super minimal since we’re doing two other desserts),
- purchase fabric for alter,
- search for antique lace tablecloths at consignment stores,
- shop for my shoes (i think I found a rad pair on Etsy…of course!),
- pick my head gear,
- order keg and wine, then beg a friend to bring it the day before
- construct prep list for food,
- design favors/create favors,
- figure out decorations (it’s a camping wedding so decor is minimal – but important, damn it), create sandwich board
- order my ‘guest book’ supplies,
- buy my darling a wedding gift,
- and have a MASSIVE shot of tequila.

Ugh! I keep stressing about the things we don’t have done yet! Here are the main things on my mind at the moment, but trust me, there is a lot more that just hasn’t made it to the top of the list yet.
Pick a florist – I feel soooooooooooooo behind with this! We tried to pick a florist months ago and thought we could just finalize flowers when it got closer since we didn’t know what we wanted yet. This was way too stressful since prices were totally dependent on what types of flowers you wanted so we put it off until now. I think I have a pretty good idea of what I want now but am worried the good florists will be booked! We have a couple appointments scheduled over the next two weeks, hopefully we can book someone soon!
Pick a bakery – haven’t even started this yet. I’ve barely looked online or through my magazines for pictures yet.
Pick a rehearsal dinner restaurant – this has been so much more of a hassle than I expected… does anyone else get frustrated that we are planning two consecutive parties back to back?? (granted one much larger than the other!) We’ve been having a lot of issues with restaurants seeming to be in our price range until we find out they have a “room minimum” to use a private room… ugh!
Invitations – My awesome finace completely designed these himself one day while I was at work!!! We just need to finalize the wording and find a place to print them! I hear this can take a couple weeks so we need to get on the ball.
Pick up bridesmaid dresses – I got a call that all of the dresses came in. O wait… not all of them… my sister… one of the MOHs… her dress didn’t make it! I’m still waiting on a call from the store to find out if it’s just a couple days behind or if there was some sort of problem with it (gotta love wedding stress!).
Groomsmen ties – We couldn’t find a purple at a tux store that matched the bridesmaid dresses. We wanted the groomsmen to wear black vests (instead of purple) anyway so we decided to buy ties from Macys. This will also be part of the groomsmen gift. We bought 3 of the right color in the store and tried to order two more. I was excited when they came and I thought we were all done with the men’s attire but they were the wrong shade of purple. I returned them and am waiting on shipment #2… hopefully it’s right this time!
That’s all for now… is it seriously only 99 more days?!?!

Not long to go now 🙂 Things left to do:
Get passports (for honeymoon)
Book a hair trial
Re-sizing FH ring
Decide on alcohol
Think that’s it, although I may have forgotten something…
EDIT: Buy bridal make up supplies- decided to DIY after a bad trial

O how I wish money grew on trees to pay someone to do everything for me haha. I’ve been looking for a mariachi group to play at our ceremony and I never realized it would be so difficult to get in contact with people or even find numbers. I plan to splurge a lil on them if I have to and will just go without other things bc I just have to have a mariachi group at my wedding 🙂

I think I’m doing pretty well. I have to finish putting the invitations together to hopefully get those out next week. I know what we’re doing for centerpieces but I have to purchase about half of the vases still. My hair and makeup trial is in about 2 weeks and I’m starting my alterations about that time. We have the DJ but we need to meet with him to do our song choices and stuff… I can’t think of anything else major :o)

I am making my head piece today and just bought another dress online that I have been oggling for months. I finally sucked it up and went for it….and I took so long that it was $100 cheaper (score for the procrastinators!). I am now starting to think of bridesmaids gifts (I’m stealing another two bees idea: a movie night monogrammed bag) and designing the logo for our t-shirt favors (it’s a camp theme – can’t go home without a camp shirt, duh!), putting the deposit down for booze. I think the following week I’ll start trying to deside on tablecloths (we’re not doing linen linen as it will look too formal).
I still need to decide if I want to go chalkboard or DIY signs for the buffet choices as both would be cute but the chalkboards are already purchased and super easy. Chalkboard? Meet Chalk. BOOM.
I keep forgetting to register for the Warrior Dash for my bridesmaids. Crap.
Oy…it’s becoming real. What’s really cool is that the more we work on the wedding the more excited I get to go to this kick ass party! Isn’t it strange how it turns into this snapshot of who you two are? Fate is silly that way. 🙂
