I am driving an ’06 Chevy Impala. It’s a boat to say the least! But it’s a very big safe car. I drive on the freeway everyday to and from work, and I always said that I wanted to have a safe car. Well this is it! The gas mileage does suck though, I think I get 18-20 tops….and 25 if it’s all strictly freeway driving with the cruise set.

I wuold reccomend it though! 🙂 I love my boat!

A VW Jetta saved my life. I’ve owned two of them. They are solid, safe, fuel efficient, cute, and affordable.

I drive a VW Jetta and VW Passat and love them both!

VWs are know to be very safe cars and typically excell in the various crash tests and such (part of why my parent’s got me a VW as a 16 year old driver).

I drive a BMW X3 and really love it, but it’s getting pretty old (it’s a 2005) so we’re looking for a new car. We also want our new car to be larger because we’re TTC so we’ll be adding a baby + baby “stuff” when we travel. I really like the Lincoln MDX, but my hsuband is leaning towards an Audi Q7 because we both really love his Audi (an A4). I’ll be curious to see what others recommend!

I have a Chevy Cobalt, and I love it. Small but roomy, pretty decent gas mileage.

I have a 2007 VW Jetta and I LOVE it. Recently I’ve been getting between 28 and 32 mpg highway.

07 Nissan Murano and I love it (her)! I’ve never driven a car and don’t really feel comfortable in them. I wanted something with a decent size trunk but not so far off the ground that was a serious rollover risk. For its size gas mileage is not terrible we average 21-22 mpg. Darling Husband has a Trailblazer and man does that thing suck up gas. We basically never drive it.

I had an old box Jeep Cherokee sport

Now I use my future husbands car which is a Jeep Liberty renegade.

But I come from a german car family, VW’s and BMW’s. I broke the trend by getting a jeep because I got a horse and needed something 4 wheel and towing capabilities 🙂 Get ir done!

Darling Husband found me a 2006 H3.

The jeep I had before was starting to crap out (we bought it used and it was a ’96) and the intrest was 29% because of the type of loan we got.

So we traded that in for my H3. I like that it makes me feel safe. It has a lot of blind spots, but it’s no biggie now that I am used to it. It gets right around 23 MPG (usually a little more) and drives like a dream.

Payments are a little higher, though, since the car lot that paid off our first loan added it to the price of this loan. We’re still saving money in the long run, though with the lower intrest and 10 extra MPG.

We also have a 08 Nissan Sentra.  I take public trans during the week and Fiance drives the car. It’s big enough that at 6’4 he’s comfy in both the drivers and passengers seat and yet small enough that we never have a problem with street parking.  After adjusting the seat, it’s comfy for me to drive as well.

I drive a Ford Focus. I love it, the backseat is roomy enough for my many tall BILs to not be completely uncomfortable when they ride with us and it gets great gas mileage (over 30mpg highway). We’re planning on getting a small SUV-ish kind of car in the next year but I love our current car!

’07 VW Jetta names Squishy! I love it! I has great safety ratings and is an affordable “luxury” car. The gas mileage is decent and the trunk could finally fit 3 or so bodies in it. Not that anyone would need it for that, haha.

My Fiance drives an ’09 Mazda RX-8 and it’s his pride and joy! It’s definitely not a family car, though.

I probably have the oldest car in this thread 😉

I drive a 1997 Lexus ES300.  It’s champagne with tan leather and I love it to pieces.  It’s still good looking, it drives like a dream, it’s great on gas, it’s not too big and definitely not too small.  It’s my favorite car yet, and I’ve run the gamut (Jetta, Civic, Acura RSX-S, Integra).  I’m going to drive this thing into the ground, and when it comes time to get another car I’m going to look at another older Lexus.  They’re awesome.
