mrs2014: Jeans or sweatpants and then in the summer im in shorts and you have to beat me out of them….and crappy old t-shirts or tank tops….i LOVE lounging in DHs hoodies….i just love hoodies (its the 15 year old in me just sooo comfy and warm!)….and no socks or shoes if im at home to stay….dont care how cold….Darling Husband is the same way he usually lounges in sweats, shorts, and t-shirts or his pajama pants….we are laid back and of course if we are expecting company then we tend to be dressed but just at home nope….
ohh and my favorite vice when i dont feel good is DHs old long sleeve shirt from thier highschool wrestling team and my old faithful tattered retired buttersoft scrub pants…..those pants havent seen a day of work in 4 years but so soft and broken in (and have been deep cleaned thouroughly!)…refuse to get rid of them and i cant wear yellow pants to work….so i look nuts but ehh…im comfy!

As soon as I get home, my teacher pants/dress come off and I’m wearing leggings and a t-shirt. He still loves me for it 🙂

I usually switch from jeans into Yoga pants or shorts but leave my same shirt on until bedtime. (I have a casual work enviroment.)

Yoga pants and a t- shirt or pajama pants/shorts and a t-shirt. I usually change out of my business casual work clothes the second I walk in the door.
On the weekends I will wear jeans and a nice top if we go do any errands or go anywhere.

mrs2014: My husband immediately changes into workout shorts and a tank top when he gets home from work unless I tell him that we are going out to dinner, and then he changes into jeans and a shirt.
I get home from work and don’t change unless I am going to work out or go somewhere that my work clothes aren’t appropriate for. I’ve been known to stay in my work clothes until I change for bed. I have a pretty easy work wardrobe that I am comfortable in, so it’s not like I’m wearing a suit all day.

Yoga pants and comfy t-shirts. As soon as I walk through the door, my work clothes (or whatever else I may be wearing) come off and my yoga pants go on. In the summer, when it’s super hot, I opt for basketball or cheer shorts instead. This is mostly because we have 2 cats, and I don’t like lounging around in nice clothes as they will inevitably end up covered in fur. Darling Husband is the same way, the first thing he does when he gets home from work is change into something more comfortable.

. I like to be comfortable, so Im either in sweats/shorts/or PJs.

Leggins and a tshirt and sweater! I can’t stand wearing jeans longer than necessary! Darling Husband always looks better than I do though. On weekends I’ve been known to stay in my cozy housecoat all day.

I like to be comfortable but not sloppy at home so its usually yoga pants, leggings, or shorts.. And a tshirt. If its hot out and we’re not going anywhere, I’ll wash my makeup off right away too.
On weekends, I’ll chill in my robe or pjammas.

Thank you bee! It was such an interesting thread, good to see that not all ppls continue wearing office clothes at home, and actually almost no one does. Just letting you know that i think I found the best solution for myself – treggins! Look more like trousers than leggings and still are stretchy! Wil wear it with a soft blouse or any other “outside” top!

mrs2014: Leggings and a tank top/sweater or sundress in the summer. No jeans unless we’re heading out or having guests..they’re not comfortable!

Good to know I’m not the only one who can’t wear jeans around the house!
As soon as I get home, I change into a soft bra (no underwire or molded cups), t-shirt, and yoga pants (sweatpants and a hoodie if it’s winter). It’s comfortable to lounge in at home but respectable enough to go out and walk the dog in.
Darling Husband is the same way but he works from home, so seeing him in jeans means it’s a special occasion. 😉

I recently went through my whole closet, got rid of everything I didn’t love or didn’t have a reason to wear, and replaced it with all matching pieces. I haven’t worn jeans in over 6 months, My entire wardrobe consists of well-fitting yoga pants. I picked everything out specifically so that I can go from comfortably lounging at home to outside and presentable with no effort.
Not for my FI’s sake, for my own. However, there are times when I make a little extra effort, not throwing on an old tshirt halfway through the day, not having my hair up in a messy bun, maybe even wear a little eyeliner, but generally, we’re together because we want to be, not because we demand that we both be outrageously attractive at all times.
