Her first name .. LOL.

She’s not a nickname kind of woman, ever. And I could never call her mom, my mom is my only mom. Awesome for being out of the MRS stage though. Luckily I  was never there, she wanted me to call her by her first name since the begining.

Ditto on MissSawyer’s answer πŸ˜‰  Never had to call my Future Mother-In-Law by her last name…

To her face?

I just call her by her first name. She wasn’t a Mrs. when I met her, and I was not about to call her mom.

I second the “first name”. It’s all I’ve ever called her though…

… I kinda just avoid the situation πŸ™‚ As soon as we got back from our honeymoon, she let my Darling Husband know that she wanted me to call them mom and dad… That just feels a little weird to me… When I write to her, I call her “mom last name” or “mom last initial” …but to her face, I just kinda don’t call her anything πŸ™‚

After we got engaged, I was invited to use either first name or “Mom LastName.”  It usually just comes out “Mom”…but we’re pretty close.

I call her by her first name. My husband calls his parents by their names, so mom would be very weird.

I always called them Mr. & Mrs. ______ and after we got married they never said I could call them by their first names, but I felt weird about saying Mrs. ____ since that was my name too. So I just call them by their first names & try to avoid it as much as possible.

I have a mom.  My Future Mother-In-Law is not her.  I call my Future Mother-In-Law by her first name.

She wants my kids to call her grandma.  I refer to her as “Grandma Firstname” to my kids and they openly choose to just call her Firstname.  That’s their choice.

By her first name…it’s how she introduced herself to me. I think both her and Father-In-Law would be thrilled if I called them “Mom” and “Dad” (they call me and my SsIL their daughters), but they’ve never outright asked or suggested, and they’re perfectly fine being called by their first names.
