I call my Mother-In-Law “Mumma” and my Father-In-Law “Pops”.
I call my Mother-In-Law “Mumma” and my Father-In-Law “Pops”.
@Aquaria: I call them their first names.
My husband, on the other hand, calls my dad “Pap” (& we don’t speak to my mom).
Their first names.
You should add a poll! First names, Mr/Mrs last name, a version of Mom/Dad, or Other. 🙂
I call them by their first names, but when we get married they’ll be mom and dad
Evil?
Just kidding, I call them all by their names but when referring to them around my son we call them Grandma, Grandpa, Oma.
I call them by their names. I’ve always personally thought it weird to call them mom and dad since I have my own. Fiance calls my dad by his name and my brother and I have a nickname for my mom and Fiance addresses her by that name.
Mother-In-Law is “mama,” Father-In-Law is “dad,” and SMIL is her first name. Other family members are grandma/grandpa, aunt/uncle, etc.
Ma or her first name and Pop or his first name.
My parents are Mom and Dad 🙂
First set of in-laws were called by their first names until the grandchildren came along. Then the grandchildren made up names for them, and I started calling them by those names.
My wife doesn’t speak to her own parents, so I’ve never had the issue come up.
