I would consider <50 people small, 50-100 fairly small, 100-150 big, and 150+ huge!

I think a guest list of 100 people is average but over 150 is large.

But normally when I think “big wedding” I think of weddings in different cultures which can be as long as 3 or 4 days, or weddings that are a straight 24 hour long celebration. FH is Serbian so I think we will have a pretty big wedding since we’re intercultural, although with a guest list of under 50 people.

    @Daizy914:  Do a poll!

Anything over 100 guests is big for me.  I’m more introverted and Fiance and I just prefer more intimate weddings.  We’re expecting 60-80 guests and I’ve had people tell me that was a massive guest list too, LOL.

I am considering our wedding big at 125 invited but everytime I mention that number to a vendor I can see that they are visibly relieved and then say ‘oh good, it’s so nice to have a small wedding.’ LOL

Well, I had 148 guests at my wedding, and I thought that was a medium-sized wedding.  I have one friend who had over 400 people at her wedding, and, last year, I attended a wedding that had over 500 guests. I consider those to be huge weddings. To me, anything over 250 people is a large wedding.

I think anything more than 300 people is big to me. In my area 150-250 is around the norm. Some of my Indian friends have multiday weddings with 500-1000 people, which blows my mind!!

We have to guarantee 125 people for our wedding, so we are going to invite somewhere around 160-175ish. I think ours is somewhat average size. We have a number of friends who are inviting 300+ people…that’s huge, IMO. I consider anything over 200 big, anything over 300 monstrous haha

I think 120+ is big. 150+ is huge!

    100+?  Maybe 150+?

I think 100 people sounds like a lot to me. 200 strikes me as gigantic.

I think 300+ is kinda big, but it is also average here. Our wedding is about 350. The last four weddings I went to were over 400 guests. I have never been to or knew someone who had a wedding under 250 people.

To me, small is under 100. Medium is 100-200. Large or “big” would be 200-300, which is where mine fell. Anything over 300 would be huge!

    For me:

    3-50: very small

    50-100: small

    100-150: average

    150-250: large

    250+: very large

This is just based off the dozen weddings that I have attended.

@Daizy914:  I’m planning on having about 150 and people act like it’s crazy-huge. Like my dad thought that was massive and my mom told him it’s less than most people she knows have. I guess it’s all relative to your life experiences with weddings.
