    I think 16+ is plus sized. I don’t think that “plus size” clothing automaticy equals “overweight woman”

    I would say, typically, a US 14/16 is the start of plus size. And I definitely agree with PPs who say that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re overweight.

    I think it depends on the store/brand/location, etc.

    I am a size 12. I don’t really consider myself “plus size,” but I don’t consider myself “thin” either.

    In the fashion/modeling industry, I think anything over a size 10 is considered plus size but that’s ridiculous.

    I think the majority of the “real life” stores I go to classify “plus” as 14 or 16 and over.

    But this also depends on the woman. I know some girls who I would never consider overweight or plus size but they wear those sizes because of wide hips when they have a tiny torso or something.
