I give myself a b-12 shot in the butt & mix a drink with vitamin c powder.

I get excited bc….a day off from work maybe. I rarely get sick. My Fiance gets sick a lot more often. He says its bc he’s a cashier and touches money. But I work in a hospital, with sick germs everywhere. I am just lucky I guess.

When I do get a cold, I start using a netti pot. It is my best friend. If I can find it I put this stuff in the water called Alkalol. It is a menthol solution that was recommended by an ENT I saw back in college. It is hard to find though.

I load up on echhinacea c tablets! (how ever many the bottle says I can have!) and vitamin c lollipops (yum!) If I catch it early enough it stops the cold in its tracks! If not, it definitely shortens how long it lasts!

I’m surprised so many people like Airborne. I guess the placebo effect really does work. Airborne was hit with a lawsuit a few years ago for falsely claiming its product worked in a way that it didn’t. They then recanted and said it was an “immune system booster” which was later evaluated and stated that the product really doesn’t do anything.



There’s really nothing you can do to cut down a cold, but you can make yourself more comfortable. I usually pop a couple day-quil (Or ny-quil) tabs to fend off sore throat or stuffiness/headache and just increase my fluid intake. Chicken soup is good comfort food for when I’m not feeling well.

I drink a ton of OJ and eat oranges. I also work out a little bit, try to “sweat it out.”
