I treat myself to a day at the spa with a friend or Fiance. There’s a place where I live, it’s a scandinavian spa, with outdoor baths. It’s VERY relaxing. I also get a massage at the same time, and it relieves all the tensions in my back.
I also have a hot chocolate or non caffeine tea before bed to help me go to sleep. I have trouble sleeping when i’m stressed out.
Try and do some light exercise, no need to do very intense workouts at the gym, just a 20 minute walk can help if you’re feeling too tired to exercise.

I second the yoga.
and the bubble baths. bath and body works makes an amazing aromatherapy line. The stress relief ones are amaaaazing. I use the pillow spray before I go to bed and the scent clears my mind and is very calming!

I’ll usually make plans to grab dinner with someone and get a glass of wine, or I’ll read a book and take a bath

Long baths, especially with nice-smelling bath salts, baking, watching a favorite funny moving, snuggling my cats, taking a walk with my husband… These things all help me with stress.

Running helps me. If that’s not your thing any cardio is key! Yes it sucks when you’re tired. Sometimes I’m yawning as I step on but it’s true it GIVES you energy. Also, running just helps me kill anxiety but sweating it out and the key is great music! You must have jams on. 🙂
its sorta like dancing it out because I run to the beat.
Always feel 100 times better after a good run.

The following have all helped me de-stress at some point:
Wine
A nice looong walk
Ice cream
A nap
Venting to a close friend

WINE, walks, cuddle my cat and/or husband, read, manicure, watch a tv show I’ve seen literally 50 times now (Bob’s Burgers), eat a comfort food (pasta, usually), sleep, paint, be intimate and/or flirty w/ hubby.

I shower! Some people like to take long bubble baths, but I don’t like baths at all, so I take a super long, hot shower with some nice music playing.
I have also been known to do a little retail therapy when I’m stressed. Doesn’t have to be anything big, but a new book or something sparkly makes me feel a little better.

SunflowerGarden: bobs burgers! Yes! Love that show.
sweetpea1002: I actually have a few of their eucalyptus items! I def have the lotion sitting on my work desk :/
i got all my things ready for yoga tomorrow morning, I currently have a groupon for a month that I started last week. I want to continue after the month but the memberships are a bit pricey, so I’m not sure that ill continue. I’d def have to cut my gym membership if I did, which I keep going back and forth on.

I’ve been there! What helped:
Venting in therapy, sex, going out for drinks with friends, calling my parents, yoga, going for a long walk/hike/run in the park (I think getting out in nature really helps), turning off my phone, going to bed really early and getting a good night’s sleep, Klonopin.
