I just feel so blah today. I have this head cold going on– so I am producing snot like no ones business. I was supposed to start working out this week- but due to the fact I’m guzzling DayQuil/NyQuil like crazy it hasn’t happened.
I feel gross, ugly, large and just plain ol’ ew.
What do you do to cheer yourself or make yourself feel better?
We have a busy week planned that includes: an NFL pre season game, traveling for Labor Day and meeting some new people ( friends of friends) and I just don’t want to look and feel crappy while doing this!!
Did I mention the abundance of snot/ red nose/ sinus pressure headache and look of misery that I am channeling at the moment!!!

Paint my nails or get a manicure. And watching some trashy TV shows usually does the trick for me 🙂

Yes, mani/pedi for me. I also some how feel a lot better about myself if I drink tons of water. I already drink water but when I up my consumption, it does a world of good for me. I think it just flushes out my system. Sorry if that sounds like the weirdest thing ever. Lol. Feel better!

Please don’t get a manicure while youre sick. I got the flu last week from some inconsiderate sickie.
To perk yourself up: watch a comedy, give yourself a deep conditioning treatment and an amazing blow dry, chug water and multivitamins, buy a new lip gloss.

I just let myself feel sick and miserable. Did you ever notice that when you don’t feel well you also feel guilty for not doing anything and just being lazy? So then on top of feeling physically awful you feel mentally/emotionally upset? Well, whenever I feel crappy physically, I make a conscious decision to let myself lounge around and not worry about getting anything done. Once I surrender to that and resolve that I’m just not going to be productive, I feel a lot better. Then I eat comfort food, watch whatever the hell I want on TV, and pamper myself.

If I’m feeling well enough to go sit outside, I go sit outside with lots of tea/wine and read a book. If I’m not well enough to sit outside, I do the same thing in the bathtub.

First of all, ((hugs)) to you – I’m so sorry you’re sick and I hope you feel better soon.
I agree with everyone to pamper yourself. I usually try to sleep through the misery as much as possible. If I can’t sleep, chick flicks it is. And drink lots of orange juice. 🙂

Sorry your sick! I usually just let myself relax for a day. Put on some old chick flicks or something the man wouldn’t want to watch, paint my nails, read a romance novel, and take a long bubble bath! And of course drink lotsa fluids!

Aw, Sorry you’re not feeling well! If I’m not sick and just having a blah day I like to either get some fresh air, exercise, or journal. Sometimes I take my pups to the park. If I’m sick I like to lay around and watch silly movies and snuggle with my dogs.

Here’s what I do…or rather, I did all last week-
Sleep through the sickness. Hard to do when you can’t breathe. How am I almost 34 and new to Vick’s VapoRub?! Watch Maury. No, just do it. You’ll feel tons better about yourself. Eat all the chocolate in the house. This includes the baking chips in the fridge that you hide from the kid. And the candy you hide in the craft room. Eat it all. Drink alot of water with lemon. I like some hot tea with lemon, or just hot lemon water. (Detox or something, Jillian Michaels says..but what does she know) Paint your nails. I was sick last week, so I have some glitter/crackle purple stuff happening (ew). Take over the couch. Delegate chores. I know my kitchen better be clean when I get up off this couch……

I put on trashy tv and lounge around. I get so wrapped up in the drama on tv (I’m talking like, Real Housewives trashy drama) that I forget I’m feeling sick. Plus long hot showers always make me feel better!
Hope you feel better soon!

I allow myself to veg when I need it, sleep as much as I can and wear comfy soft clothes. After years of being Mom (moms CANNOT get sick) I always try to get something done unless I’m paralyzed by a fever. Last spring I tried to ignore being sick for so long I lost my voice for days and got so rundown it took me weeks to recover, which only happened after antibiotics. I have a hard time slowing down & letting people take care of me but it’s nice when my daughter & (now) husband do.

I watch anything with Roseanne Barr in it…no matter how bad I feel, at least I’m not her

All of these suggestions are great– I just wish I didn’t have to work!
