Walk my dog as well… I will sometimes walk with my neighbors who have young kids, which is fun to see the kids interact with my dog.

Occassionally get a massage.

And I am trying to increase cooking and baking… So I have been refining my culinary skills. (although it can be stressful when you mess up measuring something out wrong. Doh!)

It also helps to turn off my phone and lap top on occasion.

Shopping, of course. 😉

I also paint, which is very calming for me, as well as making cool stuff to hang on my walls. Bonus!

I used to knit, but I can’t justify that time anymore because I’m too behind on my projects.  Blah, I can’t wait to get back to knitting!

Going to the gym tonight (not into the superbowl as the TN Titans aren’t in it) and tomorrow getting a mani/pedi and eyebrows done.  Time alone is a huge thing.  My son goes to visit his dad for four days every two weeks and I get alot done during those four days and T and I try to have our date nights then.

The main stressor for me is knowing when I do the move to his place.  I had a horrible time moving into my home (moved here almost 2 years ago) and a drunk drive (no kidding..was one of the WORST days of my life) slammed into the movers in the moving van carrying my old furniture and destroyed most of it.  Spent six months sleeping on bed frames until the lawsuit was settled.

Thus, I stress FAR MORE about the move than wedding planning.  I am wierd Mrs. Bee.  I kinda love planning all kinds of parties.  My wedding included.  T jokes that I will probably have to be sedated on the day of the big move.  For me, that is the only source of huge anxiety.  I’m doing a lease/purchase on the new home I’m in now and luckily have to give only 3 months notice if I am to move.

Before meeting T, I thought this was home sweet home!

I travel constantly for my fulltime job. I am a Beauti Control Consultant for my fun money and relaxing job! We provide at home spa parties. the idea is that you can have all of the luxeries of a sp in the privacy of your own home at halfd the price. I treat myself and others on a weekly basis to an oasis in my home or theirs. We get pedicures, give our hands, lips and eyes, great relaxation and exfoliation treatments. It is total me de-stress time complete with spa music and often we hire a Massage therapist to give upper body massage. It is wonderful. My daughters have taken on this technique as well, they often come home to spa or borrow my products and take them to share with their room mates! I just did that last night as I am on location for my full time job and it was wonderful. Take time out for you as it is extremly important. PS Go Cardinals!

I love getting manis/pedis, but that’s usually a summer treat since I can’t justify spending that money when no one sees my feet in the winter!  Plus those kinds of luxuries are on hold until Mr. Cupcake finds a new job…. I also love getting massages, but only ever do if someone gets me a gift certificate.  I used to love to paint, but there is nowhere really to do that in our apartment now.  I long for the day when we have a house where I can have my own space to paint/be creative!

I also love shopping and buying pretty clothes (especially at Anthropologie), but again that kind of pampering is on hold until we’re in a better financial situation. Today, though, I found a great kelly green purse at Target that was the first thing I have bought for myself in months…. it is a perfect pick-me-up and bright addition to my winter wardrobe, and it didn’t break the bank!

I like to scrapbook to de-stress. I am making one for my niece and one for my sister following all of her wedding planning through the big day. It makes me happy seeing all the memories and always helps to de-stress!

I love to shop (bargain hunt all over Chicago), paint my nails, play on the computer, watch lame Lifetime movies, go have a coffee by myself, and organize my messy cabinets and drawers.

I got married in Sept 08- but while I was planning I also found walking my dog a great way to relax.  I would leave my apt frustrated or annoyed and by the time I got back, I was a lot less stressed.

I also kept up with monthly pedicures!

I do yoga and get my craft on to relax. I love pedicures, but I only get them every so often. It’s very easy (and free!), though, to roll out my mat or get out my crafting supplies.

I would *love* to be a dog walker! We’re in a pretty rural area so there aren’t as many opportunities here, but what a great job!
