(Closed) What do you do when your RSVP deadline comes and your missing RSVPS?

I just called people, and then said something like “we’re hoping to put the cards in a scrapbook, so send that back too!”.  I never scrapbooked… I just figured people would take it more seriously if they actually put pen to paper to say they were coming, rather than just verbally confirming.  At the end of the day I had to settle for a few verbal/facebook RSVP’s, but better than nothing.

I didn’t start calling until a couple days AFTER the rsvp date.  I figured I’d give time for those who put it in the mail on the rsvp date to be given the benefit of the doubt.

I like what @SapphireSun: said. It makes sense to me. As far as the cards though, unless you really want or need them I wouldn’t ask for them to be mailed back necessarily. I’d give it maybe 5 or 6 days for mail delays.

I started calling 3 days after the deadline and dont want the card back.  I am trying to finalize now so just a yes or no is enough for me.
