I don’t really get bored per se but here’s some of what I do in my spare time that doesn’t involve going anywhere or special equipment or advanced planning:

– the bee

– research and learn things (I’m a total nerd with, like, a jillion interests…there aren’t enough hours in the day)

– get up to date on the world news (it’s such a complex place with so much going on… and most of it doesn’t make the nightly news blather, but it is still very interesting and worthwhile to know).

-then, there are the things that I always put off that I “should” do…but somehow I almost never have quite enough time to do those! lol!

@leporidae:  Oh lots of things..

– Knit (or any craft, I suppose. If you needed it to have a “purpose” there’s charities who can use almost anything. Knit hats for premies. Make blank greeting cards for the troops… if you have a craft hobby I probably know where you could use it!)

– the bee

– fall down a wiki hole (meaning, read an article somewhere, want to know more about it, look it up on wikipedia, find another link in that article… and on and on)

– marathon tv shows on netflix (usually while knitting :P)

– take a walk

– look up yelp reviews on places nearby and pick things SO & I can try together

I do what I call Wiki-Links.

Basically, I chose a random topic, look it up on Wikipedia, and then click random links leading away from it, to end up on more random topics. It’s a good way to kill time, you can start on cats and end up reading about the Death Zone on Mount Everest.

I also am teaching myself to crochet but that’s not going so well haha

@leporidae:  LOL Sounds weird, right? People handmake beautiful cards and send them, with envelopes, to troops overseas so they have something nice to write home on! operationwritehome.org/

You could totally take pictures and mount them on a card. You could use them to write to troops yourself, or donate them or even sell them!

Or you could do a project life book. Or just do a picture a day. Post them on Facebook or start a blog. I did a project like that a couple years ago and it was really interesting to see what I was doing each day, even if the picture was just of my feet in slippers cause I stayed home ๐Ÿ™‚ It did encourage me to get out and do stuff, though, so I had a cool picture ๐Ÿ™‚ I should really do that again….

If I had a lot of free time I would probably spend it working out and cleaning my house. As it is when I come home from a very long day at work and I’m just sort of bumming around and calling it “relaxing” I just go on weddingbee or purse forum. I also have People magazine on my iPad that I read sometimes, and a few YouTube people that I subscribe to, so I watch their videos. Right now I just got into a book on my iPad called The Darlings. Reading can be a very beneficial thing to do when bored.

I’m addicted to shopping and makeup so I spend a lot of my free time

-online shopping (or online window shopping and plotting what I want to buy)

-read fashion and makeup blogs

-I live half hour from NYC so there is always something to do and people out and about

-the bee

The bee

Researching… stuff. Whatever happens to catch my interest at the time. Baby stuff (the fever is raging!), pet stuff, house stuff, food stuff…

Cleaning (this is a more recent development. spring cleaning, anyone?)

The black hole of Youtube… once you start there is no telling where you might end up

I really shouldn’t have time to be bored, though. There is always something I should be doing for school, but alas…

Usually if I get bored….I’ll catch up on my shows that I have on DVR, watch a movie that I’ve been saying I wanted to watch forever!, posts on here, dance, work out, pinterest, cook, bake, take a walk, relax, or I’ll clean

When I’m bored these are the things I usually do:

Knit (socks, blankets, or anything else I can give as a xmas gift)

Surf on the Internet about anything and everything

Read and watch tv

Paint rocks

Clean (which I should do more often like cleaning my closets)

Gardening (which I spend hours doing on weekends up at the lake)

and my favourite thing to do is pack my bag and go to a hot yoga class. I feel sooooooooooo good after one of those classes.

This is pretty embarrassing to admit, but I will just eat when I’m bored. Such a bad habit. I turn into a couch potato

What I should do, and what I suggest you look into is a cool class to go to like cooking, yoga, pottery.. Something like that ๐Ÿ™‚  You could learn a new language?

ooof lately its just been the bee and wedding. What I should be doing includes cleaning, spending time with our pets, learning Spanish, cooking and working out more. Or, *ahem* having more sex.

By priority:

1. Videogames.

2. Read

3. Garden (I’m fighting a bermuda grass infestation so it’s mostly weeding)

4. Clean

I’d KILL to be bored!   I feel like lately I just have way too much on my plate, but when I am, I like to flip through the channels or come here.
