My fiance and I are looking for some more hobbies. We thought about tennis, fishing, and running but I am looking for some more fun ideas that we can experience together and enjoy! What do you and your partner do for fun? Any suggestions?

We go for long walks around the city together, go to the zoo, watch a few tv shows together, are going to train for a 5k together (he’s done them, it’ll be my first, and we’ll only be running together on the weekends), we have season passes to Dollywood, and we love to try new recipes together.

@MissAmethyst: I am glad you mentioned that… he has a motorcycle and I have yet to get on after two years!! Maybe I should give that a try already!

I am very supportive of running together. It is cheap and it is so fun. Sign up for a race together. It is a great way to spend a saturday morning.
We did a huge cooking project together the other day, and that was really fun. You learn a lot about someone when you spend a whole day working together.
I also love going on long walks, especially in new places! We took a trip last year with all these different trails to hike around. I loved it.

We are hashers!!!! Hash House Harriers — a drinking club with a running problem
We hash several days a week. We’re on the management team of a few of the local chapters. It is the greatest thing EVARRRRRRRRR!!!! You should really check it out — there are “kennels” in every major city, and it’s a wonderful way to get outside, get some exercise, meet awesome people, and generally have an awesome time.

We do a lot of road trips. We pick a place and just drive. We also hike and like to eat out a lot. We’ve done mountain biking but I’m not a skilled biker so I’ll stop a lot and walk down the hill with my bike. lol
@Rivendeler: lol Sounds like a good time!

- Wedding: November 2011 - Florida Aquarium
We go to a winery once or twice a month and have a picnic (with wine). We workout together, too, but sometimes that’s not so fun haha. Each month, we do something really fun… this month we went ziplining, next month we’re staying overnight in a haunted (former) state penitentiary, the next we have 2 concerts and a wedding… having something to look forward to is really awesome. We also watch the UFC together… a lot.

We are currently long distance (ending in under a month!), but some of the things can still apply to … short distance? couples, and we do them when we are together as well.
We take turns singing to each other. We watch movies. We sometimes watch television shows. We play card games or online board games. We pick projects to work on together, like programming or crochet or writing projects. One of our favorite things to do is read to each other outloud!
When we are physically together, we like to take walks. If we have the day free we will spend hours and hours walking for miles around the city, sunny or snowy. We also bike places together. We play catch. We have gone and very much enjoyed fishing but usually aren’t near a lake. We go camping! We do projects together that we don’t both have the resources to do separately, like making sandals. We put on music and dance. We hope to sign up for dance classes to take together.
I feel like we do so much more together than we ever would do on our own. I hope my list gave you an idea or two!
