I’ve flagged spam a couple of times and flaged a personal attack once (someone was basically cussing out another member and I think she told the girl to kill herself – EVERYONE was flagging her).

Otherwise, if I read something I don’t like, I click away.

@Elvis LOVE xkcd! That is one of my favourite pictures from that comic!

I flag spam & self promotion. I think I may have flagged blatant trolling once?

I agree with other PP’s. I am pretty thick skinned and if I find something offense (which I haven’t yet here…) I would just close out of it.

I also (mostly) stay out of heated topics because I don’t want to get flagged for my opinon.

I’ve only flagged for trolling & spam/self-promotion (pretty much the same thing IMHO).  I tend to lean towards sarcasm IRL so it takes quite a bit to be offended by something.  Especially lately, I don’t know that I would flag something just because it offended me. I just move on and read something else because I don’t want to necessarily get someone banned from WB.

I can’t remember what posts I have flagged, so I just checked off what I would flag:

isms – has to be pretty blatant, people are allowed to have opinions even if they are racist, sexist, etc.

    Spam

Language – I don’t care about most things.  Don’t use something that is offensive to someone with a disability though.  Gay (not a disability but I think most of you get my gist), retarded, dumb, etc.  I’ve probably made a slip and used these words myself when talking with friends, but that’s the beauty of writing, you can edit what you wrote!  I’m disappointed by the mods on this one.  Retarded is allowed (and remains after being flagged) but “here let me google that for you” is considered too offensive.

I’ve never used the flag function. If I read something I don’t like/agree with, I just leave the thread.

I have flagged self promotion and I always post under it that I flagged it for just that reason and explain that you can’t do that in case the person was just unaware.

I have also flagged 3 other times I believe. I flagged someone who actually called me a name (which I couldn’t believe even happened they later edited it out but a mod had already seen it), I flagged another poster for attacking an OP, and I flagged someone for a blatant racist comment.
