That’s really interesting, but I don’t think I’d do it. Something about having a wedding that isn’t actually mine, coupled with the fact that I feel the previous couple would be upset. Even if I don’t meet them, I would still feel bad, haha.

I’d feel awkward taking over someone’s wedding and turning it into my own.  But for everyone like me, there’s probably plenty of others who wouldn’t have a problem with it.  I do think it’s a really practical idea and I’m kind of surprised it hasn’t been done sooner.  If the worst happens and the wedding has to be called off, at least the planning and vendor deposits won’t go to waste.

Nah… that’s bad ju ju to me. But I do understand the appeal– even if just decreases some stress because some decisions are already made.

Ugh Jezebel always has such cynical wedding posts, that or making fun of people’s wedding choices. I guess it’s a good business strategy but as a bride I would never do that! I know my mom bought a discounted wedding dress for her 2nd wedding that had been a bride’s who cancelled her own wedding and I thought that was gross. And hey, my mom divorced the guy after about a year and half. I wouldn’t want those bad vibes, no matter what the cost.

I dont think that I could do it… but then again, if I knew that I could get a better venue for half the cost… yeah, maybe!
