  • Completed Wedding Website
  • Picked Colors
  • Secured Photographer (even did an engagement session)
  • Chosen a dress
  • Ordered and sent out Save the Dates
  • Secured a DJ
  • Secured Makeup Artist

  • Booked Wedding Coordinator
  • Ordered matching Guest Book, Flower Basket, Ring pillow
  • Ordered Card Box
  • Ordered custom wedding shoes
  • Ordered part of Bridesmaid gifts
  • Picked Bridesmaid dresses

What I need to do:

  • Choose Male Attendants Outfits (FI has his picked out and is scheduled to try it on this month to make sure it’s what he wants!)
  • Mail Invitations
  • Have BM’s order their dresses
  • Do a centerpiece trial run with my florist
  • Choose a design for my cake
  • Create seating chart
  • Get Fiance to pick out his ring
  • Get Future Father-In-Law to book the Rehersal Dinner
  • Finish Bridal Party gifts

I think that’s everything… Haha.  I’m sure I’ve forgotten something.

@ApocalypseCow:  I think you’re ahead of me, this is what I’ve done so far:

  • Secured reception hall (including catering and cake)
  • Secured church for the ceremony
  • Picked the colours
  • Secured our photographer
  • Finalized the guest list/budget
  • Order our STD (they came in last week) still need to be mailed out
  • Secured a DJ
  • Secured a Florist
  • Picked the Bridal Party
  • Selected the venue for the bridal shower
  • Made the card box

Left to do:

  • Pick my dress (I’ve gone dress shopping but I’m waiting for the store to get in the dress I am in love with to try on)
  • Secure transportation
  • Book my hair stylist and make-up artist
  • Get my bridal shoes
  • Choose the male attendant outfits
  • Choose the bridesmaid dresses (holding off because one of my Bridesmaid or Best Man is TTC so waiting to see what happens)
  • Order our invitations
  • Get our wedding bands
  • Finalize bridal party gifts
  • Order table numbers
  • Print menus
  • Order thank you gifts

I’m not feeling stressed at all, the major stuff is done so now it’s all the fine details.

Everyone is doing really well!  Here’s what I have done:

  • Secured venue (our backyard)
  • Booked photographer
  • Booked officiant
  • Ordered my dress, shoes, and accessories
  • Selected bridesmaid dresses, accessories, and shoes
  • Ordered some wedding party gifts
  • Took engagement photos (as of yesterday!)
  • Started DIY bouquets and centerpieces (currently about 50% done)
  • Started other decor projects
  • Planned rehearsal dinner

And what I need to do:

  • Dress fittings and alterations
  • Book caterer
  • Figure out tent and rentals
  • STD’s and invitations
  • Order favors
  • Order rest of wedding party gifts
  • Figure out groomsmen attire
  • Buy wedding bands
  • Book hair/makeup for me and bridesmaids
  • Finish music playlist
  • Order beer kegs and wine cases

It’s still a lot, but I’m figuring it out little by little.  It doesn’t help that I’m also in the process of building a new fence in our backyard 🙂

I really thought I was doing well, until I saw some of these lists and what people have already done! Now I’m a little nervous…

I have:

  • secured the venue (both ceremony and reception)
  • bought a dress (doesn’t need alterations…but need to sell my old one…)
  • bought shoes
  • secured a makeup artist
  • secured a caterer
  • secured a photographer
  • secured a DJ
  • picked out colors
  • bought and received both wedding rings
  • purchased items to create “guest book” (which will also be involved in the save the date photo)
  • we’re not having a bridal party, but my best friends know their duties
  • bought suit for Fiance
  • secured baker (for cupcakes!)
  • decided on centerpiece styles
  • decided on theme
  • picked out invite template

I haven’t:

  • secured a hair stylist (meeting with one next weekend)
  • decided on who is going to officiate (a friend or FI’s brother)
  • written vows
  • picked our first dance song (we have been brainstorming)
  • figured out any kind of playlist for the DJ
  • decided on a florist (why are flowers so expensive?!)
  • done engagement photos (they’re in a couple weeks)
  • ordered invites or Save the Date’s (I can’t use the acronym for those)
  • fully finalized the guest list (I know , I know. I have a couple maybe’s that we’re not positive about)
  • found accessories
  • bought a shirt or shoes for Fiance yet
  • done a catering tasting (that will be next weekend)
  • done a hotel block
  • started a registry

I keep trying to think of all the little things, mainly because not only am I planning a wedding across the country (ugh making it easy for everyone but us!) but I also teach so I’ll be extremely busy the few weeks right before…

I have general ideas for things like card holder, guestbook, cake topper, etc…but on a larger scale I have:

Secured Reception Hall and partly secured ceremony (Officiant needs to meet with us when we’re there over the holidays)

Found the gown!

Nearly done with bridesmaids dresses

General idea for flowers and centerpieces

Bridal party all set

DJ booked

Guest list finalized

Honestly, we both have a fairly clear image in our heads as to how everything will look…our main concerns currently are:

website (we have the site, just need to set it up)

officiant (do I really have to wait until December to get this confirmed?!?)

Save the Dates (I had a great idea for a photo but now it’s a logistical nightmare so we might cut our losses and find a better idea)

We’re all accomplishing great things, ladies!
