This is something I’ve been pondering as I decide on which way to go with my wedding. So just curious, how would you answer this question: A year from now (or 5, 10 years,) when people mention my wedding I hope they say…
It was a blast! What a dance floor that was!
What an amazing cake!
It was so unique!
And of course "They looked so in love" goes without saying, I think we all hope for that one!

having just celebrated our first anniversary here’s what people have said to us recently- and its exactly what i hoped people would take away from it;
"Your wedding was just so fun and different than any other wedding we’ve been to."
"everytime i looked at you two, you were both laughing and smiling so big"
"loved the intimacy of the ceremony/reception"
"good drinks" & "i can’t believe the late night ice cream cone snack!"

I want people to remember the way we looked at each other, our first dance, the romantic feel of it all, And how fun it was on the dance floor and what a good time they had and that they felt included in our celebration. This is a great question Rose! 🙂

Great question! It definitely helps to put things in perspective, huh? I’d have to say that I hope our guests remember our wedding as a joyous celebration of love and family, plain and simple.

I wouldn’t mind hearing:
"I found that Palisade beer/wine you had at your wedding in our liquor store! I just had to buy some, it was so good!"
"We had such and awesome time dancing our feet hurt for days afterwards! And your first dance was so fun! I love watching you two dance."
"That was so great being at your dad’s farm! It’s gorgeous! That was really amazing having the ceremony in front of the mountain like that."
I’m not sure how they’d say it, but I would love it if new friendships and connections were made.
Oh, and I KNOW we’ll hear, "Oh my god, those peaches were AMAZING! How do I get some more of those?!"
I can’t wait to hear all the funny stories of things that will invariably go wrong either. I’m sure they’ll be entertaining. 🙂

I’m with Littlebear, I want people to say, "wow even after a year I can’t believe how much fun I had on your wedding day".

I’m with Littlebear and Chela–I want people to remember how much fun they had at our wedding. Oh and "how pretty was the bride" wouldn’t be a bad thing. 😉

i want people to say that it was a special day of us committing to eachother, and they’re glad they got to share it with us. i want people to say they’ve never seen a couple so crazy about eachother.
The party will be a blast, but it’s the not one thing I want people to remember.

Aw, I love reading all these responses. I think I am hoping that people will remember (other than us being crazy in love) it as being a little bit creative, a little bit unique, nothing crazy but different in a fun way.

I want people to remember how fun it was and how much time and effort we put in to make sure they had a good time! 🙂 They already know how much we love each other!

That they had fun and laughed and danced and drank and celebrated a great union.

@Sparkles & Craftypants.. my sentiments exactly! I just want people to really just enjoy the evening, celebrating with family and friends, dance the night away, and just to see how much love Fiance and I have for each other. When the look back I just want people to say .. wow we had a great time!
