This was discussed on another thread but thought I’d create the thread to help out the mods with gageing how the new site changes are going down & what are people’s thoughts on the WB site. Soooo…
– What do you like about the current site?
– What do you dislike about the current site?
– What would would change about the site?
– What features would you like to see in future iterations?

Websites change and it’s not the end of the world. I think people tend to get all up in arms about stuff that really doesn’t matter. We can adjust.

I don’t dislike any of the changes, but the Facebook login doesn’t work anymore on the site or on mobile, which is irritating because I don’t enjoy having to type out my name and password, especially on my phone.

I like the changes on the whole. Things change and I’m not fussed.
I don’t like the fact that on my mobile I’m plagued with pop up adverts that are difficult to remove and try to direct me to the play store.
Weddingbee is the only site it happens on. And another bee started a thread saying theywere having the same problem.

I dislike that there’s no obvious link to my profile in the top navigation. This is a pretty standard feature on websites and I used it regularly to get to the list of threads where I’ve commented.
It’s not really much trouble to get there via my inbox (just one extra click and page load), but it really threw me off at first.

I dislike that there are more clicks to get to the same place.

I don’t like that I can’t zoom in on pictures on my phone!

I know websites change but I see nothing that has actually been improved. I can’t even zoom in on pictures anymore! How can we enjoy ring porn with no zoom? And I really don’t like the giant weddingbee bar on top. It’s rather annoying that everyone can so easily see what website I’m on. This is also the only forum site that I have my typing freeze, ridiculous amounts of pop ups, redirecting to fake websites, etc. My opinion? WB needs to hire a new design/tech team. This blows.

I barely notice any of the changes. It seems like basically the same site to me. I have no complaints.
Pop ups are bad, and the site is really buggy on my phone. But that’s always been the case.

The one thing that I don’t like is that if someone posts a photo on a thread, I used to be able to pinch and zoom into it on my phone if I wanted to see more details (for example, a ring pic). With the site changes, I’m unable to zoom anymore.
otherwise, I think everything else so far is good!

On mobile the site will crash and reload a lot while typing a reply so I have to start all over – a lot.

DaisyBlossom : i have finally fixed this by downloading the ad blocker plus app on my phone and attaching it to safari. No more crazy and unavoidable pop up ads!

It’s not terrible or unusable, but I don’t really see any improvements over what we had. There isn’t really anything that I like about it.
I don’t like that everyone can see what site I’m on all the time.
I don’t like that it takes more clicks to do the same things now.

Hey guys, just wanting to address some of your major concerns. I have mentioned these on another thread, but I don’t know that everyone has read my updates there.
1. Not being able to zoom in is a bug. Tech is working on a fix.
2. I have discussed with the rest of the admin team that it takes too many clicks to get to your “Threads Commented.” We are working on a solution for that.
3. We have also discussed whether to put a link to your profile on the homepage, but haven’t decided on this yet.
Please be patient as we work out the kinks with our new navigation!

The only thing that really bugs me is the floating header on mobile. It definitely makes me less likely to come here when I’m in public and don’t want to answer any questions about what Weddingbee is lol
