So far I have no faults with my ring! My fiancé designed it himself with only two bits of advice from me (I really wanted a scalloped halo and any OEC stone)

i love the fleur de lis under gallery. I love the rose Gold. I love that no matter how I view it, it shines so bright. Sorry if the photos are giant.

I love that my husband designed it. He knew I wanted aquamarine, which is his birth stone and the month we made it official, so they’re included too. It’s just very personal and special. I had no idea what I wanted and was really looking forward to the surprise so I would’ve loved anything.

I love my ring because my I know my fiance agonized for months over every aspect of it, saying he wanted it to be perfect. He put so much time and effort into choosing a ring I would love- he even said he wasn’t nervous at all about the proposal, only that I might not like the ring.

Fortunately, Fiance has excellent taste in my opinion ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s exactly the ring I would have picked out for myself. Maybe the fact that I had about a dozen similar rings in my Pinterest pointed him in the right direction, haha

ppresto:  Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚  I got ONE actual photo of it before my SO put it away.  I’m not in a rush about the engagement LOL but I was hoping I got a different photo of it.

Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  I love the fact that my hubby picked it. And I love it’s a solitaire – to me erings are solitaire par excellence.

I love the side profile of my ring.  We spent a LOT of time searching for the perfect ring and the profile is a big part of what sold me on this one – most of the halos I saw just didn’t have a profile I liked.

What do I love about my engagement ring… the wonderful amazing man that gave it to me.  That’s what I love about my ring ๐Ÿ™‚  The ring itself doesn’t matter, but what it symbolizes – the fact that he wanted to put one on my finger and make me his bride is priceless.

For my original ERing, I would have to say there were a lot of things I didn’t love about it at the time. I loved the ring, but I really only loved it BECAUSE it was my ERing. It wasn’t the type of style I had always imagined having. And it was yellow gold, whereas I had always dreamed of having white metals in my wedding jewelry. And, when we finally got married (very looooong engagement — lol), we felt like we couldn’t afford the matching band for it, so I didn’t even get to have the “set” I had always dreamed of having. Instead, Darling Husband picked out a wide metal band, which I wore alone, and my ERing went into my jewelry box.

Now, though, I have to say there are a LOT of things I love about my ERing. As funny as it seems to me, I now actually love that it’s set in yellow gold. I love that it is on the small and dainty side, and I love that the center stone is only around .5. When I wear it now and look at it on my hand, I remember how Darling Husband and I started out as broke “kids” who were, at the time we first got engaged, just starting graduate school and entering into a long distance relationship. There’s a lot of history in this ring. And I really love that.

I recently found a YG band that I just love with my ERing. It’s not matching, but I finally have that “set” I dreamed of all those years ago.

With my anniversary ring, it was love at first sight. I love so many things about it. I think my very favorite thing is how it sparkles like crazy. I love that the setting is a bit “metal-heavy” and that the band is thick. And I love that it’s the white metal I always wanted. I also really love my center stone. It’s so pretty and white, and it sparkles like a boss. Sometimes, I wish it was a little bit bigger — I’m only human, after all! (lol) Darling Husband and I have talked about possibly upgrading to a larger center stone one of these days — maybe for another anniversary down the road. But then I wonder if I can ever love another stone as much.

I love the timeless six-prong solitaire setting. I love the color. I LOVE my wedding band’s ideal-cut diamonds. They are so sparkly!

Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  Thanks! The center stone is a 1.6 carat padparadsha sapphire. This was the closeup picture that convinced Darling Husband that it was the ring for me:

Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  Awww, thank you very much! You are super sweet.

I’m really happy with how my YG set turned out. I wasn’t sure the new band would go well with it, but I think it worked out pretty well. I like the way they look together — kind of feminine and vintage-looking, in a way. And I really like how the two sets contrast against each other now. It’s fun having two sets that are really different — ha, ha!
