Jeebus is a year-old Chihuahua/Daschund mix & is the love of our life despite is negatives. He is the best cuddler, most vocal dog I’ve ever met. It’s so damn cute! He loves going on walks & catches on to terms/tricks very quickly. With all of that said, he barks at everything inside the house (but not when we’re outside walking dr whatever ..strange) & only listens to me for the most part. Anybody else trying to get him to behave or do a simple command usually falls on deaf ears with this dog. My husband says he actually listens to him better when I’m gone. He listens to me like 95% of the time & I’m definitely his favorite 😉

I love my cat. She is the best thing ever. She’s gonna be 13 soon so I’ve had her a long time. She definitely has a personality and makes sure everyone knows it. I find her quirks and things awesome/hilarious/cute/all of the above.

However, she does do one thing I’m not too fond of (but it’s always funny in retrospect). Her litter box is in our upstairs bathroom for now until we figure out a better spot. Every morning when I am in the shower, she comes in and takes a huge dump and doesn’t cover it up (every other time she always covers her business). It always stinks so bad and I’m in the shower so I can’t do anything about it from there. I am convinced she does it as a little joke and she must think she is so hilarious. Cats eh!!?

Anamagana:

Love:

  • Our elderly Blue Heeler is a real goof ball.
  • He farts in his sleep but it doesn’t wake him up because he’s deaf. Fiance and I laugh about this every time (his farts, not his deafness).
  • Even though he’s known Fiance his whole life (14 years), and he’s only known me a year and a half, he still comes to me when my fiance plays rough with him. It’s kind of like hiding in mom’s skirts.
  • He’s very protective.

Not so much:

  • He drags his body along the walls, and causes dirt streaks. We bathe him but dogs waller in the yard and pick up dirt…
  • He wipes his face on the couch when he’s done eating.
  • He wipes his eye boogers on the couch.
  • (most of these things are the reason he’s not allowed into the living areas of my house now that we’ve moved)
  • He keeps us up some nights because he’s licking his crotch and we have to distract him with a flashlight.

Anamagana:  Fiance and I are moving out in two months, so currently we are living with my parents, so I’ll discuss my childhood cats:

Elsa, our five year old Tabby, is super chunky and lazy. She reminds Fiance and I of a little football. She has these big green “crazy” eyes that are so pretty…unless they’re being crazy. She absolutely ADORES my Fiance, like disgustingly obsessed. Whenever he’s home, she follows him around the house meowing until he either picks her up or sits down so she can get in his lap. She’s the one cat that will always accept pets and kushkush. The only thing is she’s a little fat bastard and is so indecisive at night about sleeping in our room. She’s up and down some nights, so Fiance and I have had to start kicking her out or wearing her out before we go to sleep.

Gus, Elsa’s brother, is also a Tabby. He’s honestly the chillest cat in the world. Honestly, he could be sleeping and you could start rolling him all over the floor, spin him around the room, or bounce on the bed and he won’t even open his eyes. He only wants affection on his terms–and you’ll most likely be pooping when he wants to be pet. Seriously, if you go into the bathroom and shut the door, three seconds later he’ll be banging on it to come in. Fiance and I have to either go with the door cracked open or find him first. He also gets these crazy spurts of intense playfulness where he will dart all over the house like crazy.

Finally, Willow, is our three year old orange Tabby. She’s also the sweetest, most ridiculous cat in the world. This is my mother’s “baby” and she is so insanely spoiled. Whenever you come in the room, she will always roll on her back and purr like crazy–but she does not want to be pet. If you pet her belly, she will immediately bite your hand. She’s also a really big talker and will grab her cat toy and walk all over the house crying every time my mother leaves. She’s also very intuitive and seems to know when we are upset and will come comfort us. The most annoying part about her? If not her fat little belly she won’t let anyone touch, it’s probably that she has this obsessive licking thing she does anytime someone touches her. She will immediately clean herself the moment you stop touching her and we’ve had to take her to the vet a dozen times for licking bald spots on herself.

I think she acts more human than most people I know.  For that I overlook and or forgive all her faults.  I did not know I needed her in my life until she came into my life.  She is perfect and I would not change anything about her.

I have two golden retrievers, Rosie and Ryder. And let me tell you, dont get golden retrievers unless you are prepared to deal with the shedding! I’m constantly wearing it, cleaning it or Picking it out of my food!

Another annoying thing my male does is favor my fiancé. my fiancé didn’t even want a dog and we fought about it until he finally gave in and now the two are inseparable. I was feeling a little jilted so we got another puppy. 🙂 luckily my girl is super attached to me.

I had a meltdown over FI’s pet last night, a German wirehaired pointer who will be my step-fur-baby once we get married. I’ve never lived in a house without a pet and I love animals more than I care about most human beings, but I’m really struggling with this dog. He’s lovable and has a very sweet personality, but he is 90 lbs of 2-year-old enthusiasm, destruction-when-bored, and HAIR. Omg the hair. He’s not even long-haired like the dogs I grew up with (3 Goldens), but it’s coarse, wiry, and rolls around in clumps that remind me of, well, body hair from certain places. It even collects in rooms he’s not allowed in, and it gets embedded in all towels, upholstery…heck I’ve found it on the inside of my pants, and I don’t even live there yet.

For FI’s sake I know I have to just suck it up and be prepared to vacuum a lot, but I was really upset and overwhelmed about it last night after some cleaning and told him so. The dog really should be a mainly outside dog, he’s bred to be a hunter and he’s only really happy when he’s either laying on the sofa with Fiance, or outside working (pointing, flushing, retrieving), but Fiance works long hours, and doesn’t take the time to make sure the dog gets enough exercise and training so he ends up restless in the house all day, tearing up trash or pillows or eating food out of the cabinets. Sigh. Sorry for the rant but that’s what I “not so much” love about the future fur baby. How we are going to keep my house rabbit safe, other than keeping him confined to one room or banishing the dog to the outdoors entirely, I don’t know.

I have one dog who is a Jackanese, half pekingese half Jack russell. She is full of spunk and has an amazing personality. I love everything about her. The best feeling in the world is coming home from a long day at work to her waiting for me. She jumps in my arms and attacks my face nonstop with kisses. The only bad habit she has is that she likes to chew my Chapsticks when I am not looking. It’s so cheap that it doesn’t bother me, I just have to learn to hide them better!

We have an 10 year old orange Maine Coone named Moe and he is special (like all pets are)

Likes: He loves to snuggle. Lately he loves to be the little spoon. I will wake up and he will be all wrapped up in my arms and I have no memory of him getting there.

He acts like a dog

He loves to play with water

He’s pretty low-maintenance, sleeps a lot and isn’t a fussy eater

He snores and twitches in his sleep

He’s….adorable.

Dislikes:

He is very vocal

He likes to play in water (ie. water is always on the floor) and I can’t bathe alone without him crying

He gets all matted because he hates to be groomed and he gets tangled up in blackberry bushes

He likes to chew on books

Really though, he is the best cat ever invented!

Vixen is our 4.5 year old female cat and she is sooooo snuggly and sweet and I LOVE that about her. But if her dry food is empty she scratches at our bedroom door and the carpet in the hall at like 4 am and it drives me and Fiance CRAZY!

Edith is our 1 year old female cat and she’s a brat. She’s adorable and she meows like a 90 year old chain smoker (I think there’s a touch of Siamese in her, between that meow and her face shape). She likes to dig through the recycling bin for cat food cans to lick out. At all hours.

Bee Keeper

I have two fur babies they are one year old brother and sister Alfie is the male tuxedo cat and Gemma is all black.

I love that Alfie is a snuggler he is momma’s boy for sure and sticks to me like glue! He is also a mega talker and comes when he is called and also plays fetch. I hate that he sometimes has a little mess on his bum after using the litter and that in turn rubs on my couch and bed!

I love that Gemma loves my husband. She usually sits with him on the couch while he is watching TV and when you go to touch her when she is sleeping or say her name she makes a funny little noise. I hate when she cries and sticks her paws under the door when we put them in their bedroom at night while Alfie is just like “ok I’m off to sleep” lol

Anamagana:  I also have 1 dog and 3 cats. The dog is super protective so I love when Darling Husband isn’t home but the big boy is because he would guard me with his life. My 3 cats are all lovey. I love them all equally, they are all so different. All my pets are boys by happenstance. My middle cat was in very poor health when he found me. He had ticks, fleas, mites, mange, severe upper respitory distress, burns, and was wasting away from starvation. It took 3 days for him to trust me. I would come home from college and he would be lurking in the bushes waiting for me. I managed to get flea and tick powder on hI’m day 3. By day 5 he decided to stay in the entryway where he had food, water, a warm bed, and 2 windows. I got him to the vet by day 7, she gave me an 80/20 prognosis. 80% chance he would die and 20% chance he would live. After finding out he didn’t have feline Aids or leukemia I poured money into him like a mad crazy cat lady. He has asthma as a result of his severe upper respitory issues, but he is so loving. He was about 5 months when found and now he is 12 yrs old. He does have separation anxiety disorder … he is so attached to me. Other than that he is great. Here he is:
