I was told @ 2nd floral consultation that tulips are not in season late August. Immediately going on line I saw that this was true, however, the first florist I visited never said anything of the sort.
Tulips were my mom’s favorite flower and one of the few pieces of her that I can have at the wedding.
Does anyone have flower suggestions? Is this Tulip fact true and nothing can be done? One of the significant parts of the wedding and have to compromise?
Both consultations were with reputable florists featured on this site.

Sorry you are having trouble finding the flowers you want. It is true that tulips are not in season in August. The only thing I could suggest is if you wanted to do fake flowers.

Tulips don’t do that well when it’s really warm so it sounds like they are right. Normally once tulips are exposed to warm weather they open immediately and once they open all the way they start to fall apart. Maybe you could get away with the tulips in your reception since you will have air conditioning??? I just know because we have tulip centerpieces that any exposure to really warm temps they open right away and don’t last very long after.
