i care very much about decor – our reception is in a fire house banquet hall that can use some sprucing up. of course i care about what my guests drink and eat and that there is enough for everyone. i also care about my dress and how i look as well as comfort.

i don’t care about quality of invites. i don’t care about quality of centerpieces (thanks dollar tree!). i dont care enough of having posed photos to fork over thousands to hire a photographer (thanks guests with digital cameras!).

Working on not caring about the chairs, which don’t match my decor.

I told Fiance as soon as we were engaged that we HAD to have our reception at my favorite Italian restaurant. At that point, he brushed me off because he had never eaten there. (We don’t go often because it’s very expensive). However, when we went there for our anniversary a month later he was sold.

I made a big deal about the invitations, which I got a great deal on. I got them on sale for $94 for the ENTIRE set (valued at $157) plus free shipping. I’ve gotten so many compliments.

I’ve also been obsessing over the ceremony details and writing our own vows. I’ve been obsessing over our Edgar Allan Poe/Raven theme.

And the cake… It is three tiered and damask patterned. It’s gorgeous and ridiculous at the same time. I had to have it, though, and it looks A LOT more expensive than it was.

Oh, and, the DJ is amazing, which was important to me… He’s a popular radio DJ that DJs events on the side and is cutting us a deal because the company I work for occasionally works with him. I couldn’t be happier with our playlist because it’s so weird and I was worried no DJ would ‘get’ what we wanted. It’s older songs (think “Sweet Caroline”), ’80s power ballads, new metal, a punk song for the cake cutting, indie, some new pop, and early 2000’s rap/hip-hop. He did an AMAZING job.

I don’t care about having alcohol (though we are), decorations, my dress was a bridesmaids’ dress that I ordered in ivory, and I wasn’t going to have a wedding band until Fiance found a white gold and diamond infinity band on sale for $140. Also, our photos are going to be done by a photography student and our card box is DIY. We’re not doing a honeymoon to save for a house and our  ‘day of transportation’ is my MOH’s BMW – no limo. Also, I don’t care what the bridesmaid do with their hair, jewelry, shoes, and make-up… I just wanted them in matching dresses.

I tend to care about everything, but only to a point. I’m passionate to a certain point and then I’m done- I think it’s my brains way of handling everything, because there just isn’t enough room to be passionate about every little thing.

I don’t much care about the decor, flowers (not having any), invitations (FI is doing them), and “tablescapes”.

The things I care about are my food, open bar, my dress, and My DJ because they make or break the party.

I just want everyone to be comfortable and have a good time, Im not much into the little details.

I care and am particular about everything, but my big splurges are our photographer and out invitations ($650 for 50 invites!).

I don’t really care about flowers at all. My godfather is gifting flowers to us, so whatever we can get with his budget is good for me!
