I’ve been pretty horrible about packing my lunch lately – I’ve taken whatever left overs I have in the fridge to work for the past 2 weeks, which is usually mostly carbs and protein! But when I eat healthier, I try to make sure I have a healthy balanced meal with about 1/2 fruits and veggies and the other 1/2 protein and carbs (but more protein than carbs). I used to do fruit – usually berries – with carrots and celery or romaine lettuce/spinach, 1/4 cup of brown rice or roasted potatoes or maybe a slice of bread, and around 1/2 a cup of chicken, turkey, or lean steak, depending on what I have available.

I pack my lunch everyday.. I prep everything on Sunday and eat the same thing all week. Its always soup or salad, unless we have some lucrative looking leftovers or feel compelled to buy.
This week I made a Morrocan type soup with chick peas, lentils, sweet potato, onion, carrot, apple, raisins, dates, and a bunch of spices. Last week we had roasted red pepper and cauliflower soup.
I also bring coffee to work and sometimes my breakfast if I don’t have time to finish it at home (usually a green smoothie or quinoa oatmeal with fruit and nuts). I don’t snack throughout the day but if I do, there’s a little snack bar place near my work that sells all types of snacks.. Healthy and unhealthy.

weightwatchers152: We usually have lefovers for lunch. I make 3 portions for dinner: 1 for his dinner, 1 for his lunch and i split 1 portion for my lunch and dinner. I have been very good with strict portion control. If we don’t have leftovers i have stuff on hand to make him a sandwich or Chicken salad. Because i go to the gym for lunch sometimes I’ll eat Cottage Cheese and fruit or Lunchmeat and cheese. I’m limiting my bread intake…….. Carbs go straight to my hips.
I meal prep for breakfast making Egg in Muffin tin’s, Sausage and pancake in Muffin tin’s or i’ll grab some greek yogurt. for snacks I have a basket of 100 calorie snack packs, granola bars, trail mix or i’ll portion our Fruit or veggies and hummus and stuff like that for easy grab and go.
Oh and i have a 2qt rubermaid jug i keep with me filled with Half TAZO Passion Tea (from starbucks) and half green tea. Only sweetned with Truvia so it’s not high in sugar.

I usually bring leftovers for lunch – almost all of my recipes make more than 2 servings, so there’s plenty left for the next day, and most of what we cook is pretty healthy. If I don’t have leftovers, I do tuna fish or soup (love Progresso’s light soups) or sometimes Morningstar Farms items.
For snacks or sides, I usually bring an apple (or other fruit) and/or greek yogurt. I usually have a non-perishable snack in my desk in case I’m particularly hungry (the current one is an applesauce cup). Carrot or celery sticks are another go-to snack for me.
I pack breakfast, too, which is just a single-serve oatmeal packet (usually have raisins, dried blueberries, etc. on hand to liven it up).

I pack FI’s breakfast/lunch/dinner every day. He has really long days (full-time work and full-time school) so I pack him a LOT of food. We’re currently both doing Whole 30 (basically you only eat totally unprocessed produce, meats, seafood, and nuts. no sugar). I used to pack him standard sandwiches and chips but I’ve managed to adapt!
Here’s what I pack him:
Eggs- I always include eggs in some form. This week I’m giving him 3 egg muffin cups (I just whisk a bunch of eggs and bake them in a muffin pan). Other times I make fritattas filled with potatoes, mushrooms, bacon-whatever!
1 Thermos Homemade Soup- I also always pack him soup but I change it up each week. This week I made Chipotle Sweet Potato soup with homemade bone stock, mushrooms, kale, ground beef, garlic, crushed tomatoes, jalapenos, and bell peppers. It’s smooth enough that he can just drink it.
Main Dish- I change this day to day. Sometimes it’s veggie packed stirfry, mashed sweet potato topped with meat and veggies, giant salad with tons of toppings, etc. Tonight I packed him Meatballs & Dipping Sauce. I made turkey meatballs loaded with veggies and added in a simple marinara dipping sauce.
