$170 for phone, internet and cable.  We have HBO, Starz, Showtime, and the HD channels. We have Comcast because there are no other providers.

We have Time Warner and our bill includes digital cable, one box, high speed internet, and a special price for Showtime and HBO.  we currently pay $80.  However, up until last November, we were paying $140.  Fiance called and said we were going to cancel becase it was outrageously expensive and they said, oh okay.  Then the next afternoon a customer service rep called back and said “what could we do to make you keep our service” and I said “lower our montly payment”, so they gave us the same exact services, including the premium cable channels, for $80/mo

I don’t have cable, but basic cable here is $85. I’ve looked into getting it and I just can’t stomach paying that much.

I get like 25 channels over the air (like NBC, Bravo, CW) so I have some channels.

We did pay $185.00 per month for high speed internet and HD cable with DVR.

We have since gotten rid of the amped up cable and DVR box and are using our XBox to stream Hulu Plus, Netflix etc. We are paying $75.00 for high speed internet and basic cable (and I mean basic).

We have to have high speed internet, HBO, DVR and 2 digital boxes. It’s about $156/month.  I hate that we only have one option.

We pay right now, ~$80.00 for Extreme Internet and Basic Phone ($60/$20). We canceled out shaw cable back in July which is saving us $70.00 a month. I don’t miss it.

$0 for network TV. Everyone gets ABC, MBC, Fox etc for free through old school rabbit ears. We also get others like Ion, PBS and several others.

We then pay for hulu plus and streaming netflix through our TV so that costs about $20 a month. For all intensive purposes we get everything we want. I do miss the food network though.

I don’t. That’s a bummer you can’t get over the air. With my OTA antenna, that cost about $50 to get initially, I get all the network channels plus some expanded channels. Ex, 5.1 is ABC, 5.2 is tv shows from the 50s and 60s, 5.45 airs a lot of syndicated shows like Friends and How I Met Your Mother. On good antenna days I can even get ION and watch Psych and Monk and other reruns of cable shows.

I love not paying a monthly fee, and almost every channel comes in HD. I hop on my dad’s streaming Netflix for other options.

Maybe they’ll put up a new antenna soon?

When we bought a house and moved out of residence we thought “Yay! Time to get fancy HD TV and an HD PVR and bla bla bla!” $175/month later and we were not feeling the love. We wound up cancelling everything but the internet. We pay $50/month and that gets us unlimited online TV viewing! And Netflix! And for some reason we still get some random cable channels through our internet cable, so score!

We pay $17 for Netflix and $60 for internet, but we split it with a neighbor, so we pay around $40 a month.  DH and I don’t watch enough TV to make cable worth it.
