Trash the dress shoot? Unless you want to keep it forever..

Mine will be sitting in my closet (well, currently in my parent’s closet). I can’t part with it!

I actually gave my dress to my 20 year old Stepdaughter to use for a Halloween costume. It was great – I handed it off on the wedding day & never had to deal with it again!

I have no idea what to do with mine.  I wanted to do the photo shoot, but my mom was horrified.  She paid for the dress and couldn’t imagine me destroying it.  But then at the wedding, my bustle fell apart and I had my train tied in a big (sexy) knot.  The sheer overlay also got torn around the back of my knee area.  Now the dress is just sitting here in my closet.

I’m donating.  A photoshoot doesn’t really interest me and hangin onto it forever doesn’t either.

I shortened mine (knee length) and want to use it again as an evening/cocktail dress. This way I won’t part with it completely… Now I’m trying to find something creative to add to it so that it looks less bridal and more wearable.

I’m doing a super fun trash the dress photo shoot!  I’m not literally “trashing” my dress….I’m going to play racquetball with my mom in it!!  And a few other fun things.  No water, though!

After I get done with my trashing, I’m going to put it in the closet until the little ones start arriving and I’ll have baby quilts made out of it.  The dress has 3 large beaded cross appliques on the back, so I figure what better way to use it then build blankets for my babies to enjoy out of it?!

I’m not really big on keeping things. I love pictures and thats enough for me. I will probably sell or trash it. Im not sure which one yet

My wedding was 4 months ago and I still don’t know what to do with my dress!  It’s hanging on the back of my closet door. 😉  I kinda want to have it shortened into a cocktail dress, but I don’t really know how to go about doing it/if it would be something I’d wear.

Tradition says to make your child’s christening gown out of your wedding dress.  However, we’re non-secular so that won’t be happening.  I’ll either sell it or make a baby blanket but I might wear it at Halloween and go as the ‘Corpse Bride’.
