(Closed) what do you put in your wedding programs?

We put:

  • a timeline of events (like…”this is when the ceremony starts, and this is what order things will go in, i.e. “processional” then “reading 1” then “vows” then “unity candle & reading 2” then “ring ceremony” etc. etc. etc.”)
  • music that was going to be used
  • bridal party (names & relationship to the couple)
  • thank-yous/remembrances (here is where we talked about family — didn’t have enough room anywhere else)
  • full text of all readings

We wanted to include descriptions of the rituals we’ll be doing, but decided against it, ’cause it made the programs WAY too long! I’ve also always loved the idea of games (Mad Libs, crosswords, etc.) on programs, but again, we didn’t have enough room.
