We’re budgeting $10k and going for 2 wks.  We live in NYC and are going to Australia which is why the longer than average (I think) length of time, it’ll take 2 days (with the time difference) to get there, and if we’re traveling that far we want to do it right!  My bff went to Antigua for ~$3000 all in for a week for her Honeymoon.

We are going to Hawaii for two weeks (enough time to do lots of hiking, biking, ziplines, etc. and still relax at a resort for a few days at the end of the trip)!!  We have a condo to stay in for free courtesy of fiance’s company and a resort for 4 of the nights courtesy of my Marriott rewards points earned from work travel!!  We just spent right around $3,000 on flights (including a few interisland flights for day trips while we are there).  Overall, we are hoping to not go much over $6,000 total for the trip.

I’ve read a few posts like this on WB where people post where they are going, what they are spending. It blows my mind a bit how much people pay just for 2 weeks at an resort. our Honeymoon will be 101 days and our flights around the world just over 4k. The other costs won’t be to bad as we’re only doing the resort thing at the end for the last two weeks and we found reasonable priced accommodation. What i’m trying to say is, you really need to have a good look around for great deals, and figure out what is most important to you.

We did 3 weeks, and it cost about $9k. Most of that cost was accrued during one fancy week. I loved having that long of a honeymoon!
