@MrsSmith13:  From a practical point of view, it sounds like 10k gold would be perfect for everyday wear since it doesn’t contain much gold.

I’ve never owned 10k gold (to my knowledge) so I am not sure if it’s prone to tarnishing or anything like that since it doesn’t contain much gold… but you might want to look into it.

I have a 14k white gold ring and I wear it almost daily… it stands up to normal wear (although I need to get it re-dipped soon like you do w. all white gold).

@MrsSmith13:  That is in fact what people are telling you, just not in a single word answer. 🙂

Edit: AW, that explains the multiple postings. That’s happened to me before, I sympathize, totally sucks!

10k is fine for everyday wear. So are 14k and 18k. Many people don’t consider 10k gold to be “fine jewelry” because less than half of the content is gold. But if you don’t mind that, it’s perfectly durable for many designs. With that said, I would not get pave or a shared-prong design in 10k.

@MrsSmith13:  Sorry, I didn’t mean it to come off as attitude.  I just couldn’t figure out why you asked the same question over and over when we were supplying answers.  LOL  No problem.
