I think it needs more florals. If that is out of the budget, I’d suggest having less colors in there, and having more cohesive pops of color.

I just think there is too many different colors / types of florals going on. If you look at your example image, you can see that all of the flowers are full bodied and similar in shape and size, yours are all very different shapes and sizes so they are not filling the greenery as cohesively.

Too much green, not enough flowers

I think they’re pretty, but I love greenery. I think maybe if you’re thinking it’s too green, you could throw some carnations in there or baby’s breath to make it a little less green?

it looks like there is way too much filler. And I am not a fan of tall centerpieces– it makes it so difficult for guests to talk to each other!

I think its lovely. It will look good at the venue. Maybe you could add some color to the water or some tiny objects in the vase. I’ve seen that done before but dont have a picture to show you.

There is a lot of greenery in it. I would tone that down a bit. I would also add more flowers with similar shapes and color scheme. The main thing is that the greenery is overwhelming. It looks like the vase has a big afro that is engulfing all of the flowers. The inspiration photo has the right amount of flowers and greenery to complement one another.

Quick question……..are the colors of the flowers in your sample centerpiece the color choices you want? Are you wanting similar flower types to the inspiration photo or do have have other types you like?

I love it! But I too chose very green centerpieces. I like a lot of pretty greenery with pops of colors! I find it really organic / garden looking.

I like it but i agree too much green for me. maybe you could try some babies breath or something. It almost looks like its bigger than it should be. I bet you could take some green out and it would even out better and look closer to the picture. Also, I kind of find the vase part to be a little boring in her example. maybe you could put some leaves or a leafy stem in there to make it look a little fuller. or maybe it just looks bare because its alone by itself.

I always think these are beautiful but I also feel like a bump of the table might tip them over.

saand :  It either needs a higher ratio of flowers to greenery than it currently has, or the entire thing needs to be smaller with less greenery so that the flowers aren’t swallowed by it. I also think you should either include brighter colors or add in some contrasting colors — the inspiration arrangement pops because of the contrast between the pink and orange flowers, but the colors your florist is using right now lack the same visual impact.
