I’d love to see some more options on that poll, something between ‘must have” and ‘not for me’ (like “seriously considered it”?)

Also I think you’ll find a big moissanite following on these boards who might not want to vote for diamond.

I have a white sapphire, and I find it to be the best of both. It has the timeless look, but is unique from everyone else πŸ™‚

Yay! I seriously considered sapphire but went with moissy because I was worried about softness and chipping (I’m not careful with my hands).

I’ve got a yellow sapphire with diamonds on either side like this

I absolutely love it! It’s nice and different, and I love the way the sapphire just glows in the light (the diamonds are pretty too though…) Smile

I love colored stones! I use to love colorless stones (of any kind) but I have become so obsessed with colored stones now that colorless stones are starting to bore me/not apeal to me at all. Don’t get me wrong I still love diamonds, moissanite, white sapphires, ect. But I love them more when you add pops of color!

Go for what you love. Which ever color (be that a certain color or colorless) makes your heart sing, just go for it! πŸ™‚

@michellie:  Sapphires ARE very strong, I would not be concerned about it, I doubt the .25 would make much of a difference.

@michellie:  It’s not very different at all – if you look up how to care for a sapphire ring, they can take pretty much any time of abuse you’re gonna throw at them. Unless you’re going to repeatedly throw it off a cliff into a vat of acid filled with crocodiles, I think it’ll be fine Smile

Hubs made my ring, but I am still begging for a star sapphire to go with the ring he made me.

How about a blue center stone and white stones for the halo and split shank…that’s my dream ring πŸ™‚
