    Yes, it's a nice touch.

No, it's a waste of money.

    Haven't decided yet.

if it’s candy or cookies, I’m over the moon 🙂

anything else usually gets left behind, though.

Nice touch, but only if it’s a snack for me to have while I’m dancing and get the munchies!

They can be kind of cute I think but can also be ‘tat’. Even if they are, they can look pretty so serve as table decor and maybe useful if strangers are sharing a table to get people talking.

A friend is making ours as erm…well…a favour!

she’s known for her yummy welsh cakes (a kind of flat sweet cakey/biscuit with sultanas – famous in Wales where we live)

shes putting a little dog shaped one (I work for a dog charity) and one anchor shaped one (FI marines) in a little bag with a ribbon for each guest. Just a little nibbley thing for people to have with their coffee if they like.

The only favors I like are the edible ones.  I do not like favors that have the couples name and wedding date on them.  I do not like random trinkets because they will end up in the junk drawer or in the trash.  I don’t need sunglasses or gloves or anything else that I could “use” during your ceremony/reception.  I always come prepared to weddings so those cheap items are really a waste of money in my eyes.

Best ever? Rum cake from a Jamaican wedding. I don’t plan to do it as of now, but I liked PP’s idea of non-personalized favors. I also can see the benefit of providing a snack upon arrival since our guests will have some time to kill beforehand.
