I don’t think I’ve ever seen this in real life, but then again I would probably just think they were already married.

My guy has been wearing his wedding band even though our wedding isn’t until next July. We both felt like it’s kind of weird for only the woman to have a ring showing she’s “promised” to someone. He also loves his ring, got it shortly after we got mine in, and just wanted to wear it right away. I think it’s sweet, but I wouldn’t have been upset if he did want to wait until the wedding.

It is actually the norm in other countries.  They wear them on the right hand, and then switch to left when they get married.

I don’t think either way is “good” or “bad”.  He should do what he wants to do.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it if it’s what he wants. The only thing is, I think that placing the ring on his finger at the wedding ceremony might feel a bit redundant if he’s been wearing it already.

fabulous :  bahaha…totally read the title of your post wrong! I read it as management rings!! I was think what the heck is a management ring??

I’d say its fine and kind of cute that your Fiance wants to wear one!

I’ve only know of one person that’s done this.  I dont relaly think much of it at all.  If man wants to wear a ring, by all means wear the ring.  Not sure what it matters or how it can be good or bad.

fabulous :  My husband did this. He totally surprised me with my ring so I then bought him a beautiful blue and white sapphire “engagement ring”. He wore it everyday until we got married. From that point on he has worn his wedding ring and the “engagement ring” sits in a junk drawer. I may repurpose the stones at some point. He really enjoyed it though.

I don’t find it to be good or bad, just a personal choice.

fabulous :  I think it varies for each couple. I would have liked my husband to wear a ring but he didn’t want to.

What I don’t like is what they’re called! I don’t see why it has to have ‘man’ in it. I don’t see why it can’t just be an engagement ring. Also management ring just makes me think of the word management – so it’s like you’re trying to manage him with the ring. I don’t feel you’re going to break down any gender imbalances by needing to put the word ‘Man’ in something.

    cmsgirl :  Same!!!! haha!!!

My future Brother-In-Law wears his ring because he and his awesome Fiance are engaged but not planning. I think it’s sweet. He custom designed her ring, and his at the same time so they match. It’s pretty adorable!

My fiancé has a simple, two-tone titanium ring for his engagement ring, though it’s too big and didn’t come in a smaller size so looks like we’ll both be getting second engagement rings!

I left the choice up to him but he wanted something to show that we’ve moved onto the next stage of our relationship. A couple of his work colleagues did think we’d eloped because they’re not used to seeing men wear them though.

His ring is distinctly cheaper than mine however as whilst I’ll continue to wear mine once we’re married, his will be replaced with the wedding ring.
