i LOOOOVEEEE them.

I’m absolutely in love with marquises, and the moval makes them a bit more ‘safe’ to set without the pointy corners. I’m not a huge fan of ovals, but I do like these.

I love all elongated cuts! I really liked marquise cuts for along time while ring searching(my ring board on pinterest was once entirely full of marquise cuts in white metal halos) and I really like unique cuts like movals, lozenge cut, elongated cushions, etc. I think it’s so cool when people modify stones to make new and uniue cuts/shapes 🙂 Stone cutting science is so cool!

For some reason when I read the title I thought it said ‘morels’ instead of movals.

In either case, pretty awesome!

I love them!  And I would probably do ribbon prongs, but it really would depond on the settng.  I have never seen a sleek claw prongs that I didn’t like.

If you do claws, I would do double or triple claws on the tips, and then just single claws on the sides.  Ribbon prongs are flat, like a piece of ribbon and are common on antiques.  This is a JbG mount she had for sale.  On cushions there are usually just 4, but on ovals or movals, you can space them out as you wish.

I would get a moval in a heartbeat!  Love them!  I have this one saved on my phone.
