The style is very Marilyn Monroe-esque.  This is just my opinion and while I like it will all of your BMs be comfortable with such a low cut front?  I know their tatas will be covered but at times even I’m not comfortable wearing something that low.  Just a thought.  The chocolate brown color will look pretty.

I feeling like voting no was very harsh, sorry. I just don’t know if those dresses would flatter most people and also like the previous post mentioned in regards to have a dress that low cut. They might work based on the age and body style of your girls.

I like them.  I’m a fan of a halter neckline and I love brown, so I think they’re great!

I like them.  Have your gals tried them on yet?  What do they think?

Ooooooh.  I didn’t realize it was a convertible dress. This is better just for the reasons you’ve stated above.

I personally would not feel comfortable in something like this. The material looks VERY unforgiving- especially with the satin (I’ve read that’s the biggest complaint about the Two Birds dresses too). There is also the issue of how you would wear a bra with it or if you could. A tube top is not sufficent support for someone that is med to large-chested and for any size chest, it’s not going to alleviate the “headlight” problem. But- if all of your girls are cool with it, then go with it.

I love it! I ALMOST went with this for mine – I ordered the fabric swatches which came really fast, and went back and forth with lots of questions for with the woman from Isadora Clothing on Etsy – she’s really great to work with, btw. Her price is also better than Dessy and Twobirds, and she offers a lot more color options.

We ultimately chose not to go with these dresses because my matron of honor didn’t feel comfortable with the style. As some other posters have mentioned, the jersey style fabric is a bit unforgiving, and my Maid/Matron of Honor is a bit self-conscious about the stomach area. I was really disappointed because I loved the color (we were going to do the satin orange) and style/versatility, but ultimately, I didn’t want to make them get something they felt self-conscious about wearing.

I think that if your girls are comfortable with it, you should go for it! 5 out of 6 of mine liked it, and if my matron of honor had voted yes, I would have gotten these in a heartbeat. I think the darker colors are more flattering too, so the chocolate should work well for you. Let us know how it all turns out – I am tempted to get one for myself for my Hmoon too =)

Oh also – with regard to the bra problem – I talked to the designer and she suggested a couple of ways that you could tie this that do allow you to wear a bra. The “bandeau” (that tube top that goes underneath,) covers the back, and then you can wrap it to cover your straps.

Love it!  I had looked into this style, the convertible, but the prices were nuts.  So it didn’t work out but good for you!  Your girls are gonna be thrilled.
