Whoa sorry I’m blowing up DIY boards ATM. I am bound and determined to cross some things off my list! Right now, it’s centerpieces. I bought a few items from various places to make a couple of mock ups before I buy everything and commit to this, so I wanted to see what the bees thought, what suggestions you may have, etc.
I got the idea from an etsy seller where I bought the bottles for the main part of the centerpiece.
Some things I plan on doing not in the picture below: I plan on putting a slice of tree trunk wood under the doily and vases (FI is working on making that part!), flowers in the vases, and votive candles (well, the flameless kind because my venue doesn’t allow open flames) in the 4oz mason jars on the sides.
Centerpiece Option A)
This, as you can see, has five bottles in the middle. This was what I saw on etsy. I like it because you can put a flower in the middle and some greens in the other 4 bottles making it look like a bouquet.
Centerpiece Option B)
I like this too because it’s less vases (= less money), but the bouquet effect won’t be there. I also like it because it centers on the doily much better. That said, I could always buy the doily in a bigger size if I got with first option…
Another factor to mention is that the vases measure about 4 1/2 inches high so they’re little things. I like that guests will be able to see each other across the table easily However, I worry with only 3 vases, it will be too small and not very impactful.
I can be flexible on the number of bottles in the middle as well as the number of mason jars with candles on the side. I was toying with the idea between 2 and 4 for those…so if you have any suggestions or thoughts on numbers, feel free to share!
These will be placed on round tables of 8 people for the reception.
I welcome your thoughts, opinions, and advice. Thanks bees!
