Hi Everyone! I came across this free floral heart monogram and it inspired me to design my wedding invitations around it. I downloaded a few free fonts and voila…here’s what I came up with!
I have had trouble finding an invitation I like with the budget I have. You can’t beat free so I hope this fits the bill! But I gotta see what my bees think….so…yay or nay?
Thanks in advance for your time and help!

@Skittles131: Love it! Except the bold arial font in the middle with the names and location/address does not flow with the rest…

I don’t mind the two fonts together. how would you describe your wedding? Maybe try swapping the two fonts and see how that looks.

ahh interesting. I actually modeled the fonts after an invitation I liked on minted.com and used the exact same font for the names/address and a similar font to the cursive one. The background/picture is different though and another thing that may be throwing it off…the ‘C’ and ‘G’ is a different font and I don’t know what it is.
good idea on trying to swap them! Our wedding is more casual and rustic. The ceremony will be outside and the reception in the lodge on the same property.
Thanks for your input, ladies!

I like it but that font with that colour is throwing off my eyes. Other than that it looks great.

I love it, and I almost can’t believe it’s a DIY design. Fantastic job!!!
The only thing I’d change is to make the address font smaller. I think your names are the most important part, so I’d make the address smaller than the names.

thank you, thank you! Well, the monogram heart up top was the most intricate part and that was already designed for me 😉
Thanks…good tip about sizing!

I really like them. I saw a pp mentioned that the names looked off. what if you centered the “and” between them vertically. sso its slightly higher than what it is now?I think they look great tho. can I ask where u found the free fonts and design?

@Skittles131: the only thing that seems a little off to me is the font of the letters in the heart. Everything else I love!

I like the fonts together!

@Skittles131: I think you should do the “CHRISTY” and “GEOFF” in the same font and colour as the C and G in the monogram (or at least something similar, but in sentence case, not upper case). Just to tie it all together a bit more.

@Skittles131: these are lovely! I really like them! and ksus07
‘s suggestion sound like something to at least try? Super cool- play with the fonts for fun though.. We did when we designed our invites and it was amazing how much a little font can do!

the free fonts I found in various places. I mostly googled free wedding fonts and downloaded my heart out! The monogram heart I found here: http://www.weddingchicks.com/freebies/custom-monograms/free-floral-heart-monogram/
darn, the one thing I can’t change!
Good idea…i could maybe try to find a similar font to that that I already have…though it looks pretty unique and I don’t know what it is.
Thanks bees for your help and advice!

Love the invite and the heart decoration. I just feel there’s something off with the letters in the heart.
