@TogetherThroughLife:  That is awesome that a friend designed your wedding invitations for you and your Fiance. I like the simplicity of the design and I think a spring of lavendar would be a nice touch inside the envelope. 🙂

@TogetherThroughLife:  Beautiful! I love the invite, but for the love of god please don’t put dried lavendar in the envelope. It will just get crushed in the mailing process and end up being a messy surprise when the recipient opens the invite

@TogetherThroughLife:  I think that it’s always safe to assume that anything that does not lay flat in the invite will get pressed down by the sorting machines. If you press the dried lavedar between, say, a table and a book and it starts to crumble, it’s safe to assume that it will happen in the envelope. You could probably get around it if you press the lavendar yourself when it’s still fresh

I like them!  And yes, anything dried will be a crumbly mess after it goes through the post office machinery.  What you COULD do is get a piece of tissue paper to place between the invitation and enclosure cards, and very very lightly spritz it with some lavender essential oil.  You’ll get a hint of lavender, protect your invitation from color transfer, and no mess!
