“Do you promise to be faithful and honest in every way and honor the faith and trust you place in him/her?”

This one could use a little polishing– the 2nd 1/2 sounds a bit funny to me.

You also double up on the “sickness and health” line, so you might want to tweak or pull one.

Beyond that, I think they’re wonderful– obviously full of “inside jokes” and unique aspects that showcase your relationship with each other.  Very nice!!!

I like linear vows that are easy to follow. Personally, I would keep the “after _________” theme throughout. Otherwise, your personal vows sound a bit jumpy (IMHO). Here’s an idea:

Today is the happiest day of my life because I get to marry the love of my life.

After talking to you on the phone for the first time: I knew we would be great friends.

After the first moment when I looked at you: I knew that you would be someone very special to me.

After getting to know you better (maybe about his likes, dislikes, common interest that defines who you are): I knew you were my one true love

After a lifetime of being cold: You literally brought warmth to my life.

After living in the dark for so long: you have given my nights light.

And even after I cry: you have brought me endless laughter to make any problem better.

I promise to be YOUR light, YOUR laughter, your back scratcher, your cheerleader, and your faithful wife through sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer. Especially when I’ve been spending too much time at thrift stores!

I also promise to learn how to make chile reilennos and master the art of pancakes!

Most importantly, I promise to love you wholeheartedly and cherish you and kiss you EVERY night for the rest of our lives!

You are my everything and I know together we can accomplish anything! After x many years together, I am here with you because you have shown me so much love.

Honestly… it is what comes from the heart.  Say what you first feel, don’t try to keep revising them.  YOu may get so choked up, that you can’t read your lines anyways.  If the sincerity is there, then it speaks words for itself.
