I like the invite overall but I’m not a fan of the cursive font then the country western font together. Especially on the line “the 9th of June” I would keep that line all in the same font.

LOVEEEE the tree!!  Not a big fan of the black on brown though.  I might move the tree so that the trunk is on the edge of the left page.

I really like them. I wouldn’t change anything.

love the tree – the font is not so much but fonts can be hit and miss with different people

@Roe:  I’m not sure, trying to think of an alternate for you!  I just know it looks really dark compared to the big white tree.

What if you did something like this:

Make the tree a little bit smaller, put some space between the tree and type.

Also, I think if you used a simpler STRONG font it would work.

Hard to read blocky-font against brown background, don’t like the 9th being two different fonts.  I do really like the layout of your text and tree graphic, though!

Lower the tree a little so that the white bleeds into the edge of the paper (no brown between the bottom of the tree trunk and the edge of the paper).

I also agree with some of the previous posters that the fonts aren’t jiving well together.  I think a good rule of thumb is to use one stylized font with one simple standardized font.  You’ve got two stylized fonts going on and I think they’re competing with each other and look a little busy.  My personal preference would be to keep the script writing and sub a different font for the western one.  I used (for example) OptimusPrinceps on mine against Lucida Calligraphy which I think worked well together.  I think both of those are standard with Photoshop otherwise I would have gotten them from dafont.com if you want to try it out.  But I really like the script you chose, I just think the juxtaposition against the very kind of “country” font is a little too drastic.

The second one you posted is also difficult to read, either darken the font to full black, or try it in white.

I agree about the fonts, try one simple font and one fancy font.  Also, I agree about the colors, it’s a little hard to read.  Overall though I absolutely love the concept and I think they will turn out beautifully!

I know you said your theme wasn’t country western but whenever I see country themes that’s also the font I see! That’s why my mind instantly went to that Frown
