    I LOVE them! I wanted to try one on so, so badly but my mom felt like it was bad for for a church wedding. Le sigh.

    @pehdre, I got it from a UK store called “Coast”. It’s a party/occasion dress. I love it!

    Aw, thanks Bees for all your wonderful comments. Short dresses are becoming very fashionable again!

    I love short wedding dresses they are so retro 50’s and that makes me happy.  My grandmothers dress was short.

    I’m not really the biggest fan. I don’t think they look as traditional or formal. If i was just having a “party” for my “wedding” i might wear one, but I like the idea of long dresses MUCH better.

    I love short dresses but they are not for me.  For someone wanting to have a vintage type look to their wedding they are perfect!  I also think that a wedding will be the only time in my life to ever wear a long full dress and not be made fun of so I am going for the longer one!

    I don’t like short wedding dresses if its a formal wedding but if its for a nonformal nontraditional wedding then they work really well. I have a friend thats getting married in august and shes have a nonformal wedding and she picked a short dress thats really cut!!

    I REALLY wanted a short dress but once I was in the store and trying everything on… long just felt right.  I wish I had looked on here for some inspiration before I purchased, but I am 100% in love with my long dress so I guess a short dress wasn’t meant for me.. 🙂

    I think they are so cute especially if you have nice legs to show off. I would totally wear one. My dress is kind of a high/low dress and I love it. Tea lenght doesn’t look good on me but at the knee or above is perfect.

    @ tonya I lurvve your dress!!!

    I think they are cute as a button. If I was doing a smaller, urban wedding, I would chose one in a heartbeat. We decided on a bigger, more romantic feel in a rural location, so it really wasn’t a fit. I did try a few on, though, and thought they were darling.

    I am a big believer in dress dictating wedding style (or vise versa, it should match). For example, if I had done a formal urban wedding, I would have worn this gorgeous plunging sheath dress I tried on. LOVED it. Or if I had booked a winery, I probably would have picked the more organic looking lace dress I also loved.
