So we’ve been making lots of exciting forward progress since we set the date, we’re back to wanting a forest wedding, and Fiance liked my suggestion of moss terrarium centerpieces/decorations (the exact tables situation is undetermined)
So I was thinking it’d be really cute to make a tiny version of them in those little 1″ glass corked vials. Like this, but not a necklace-
I would make them myself, and I thought I could collect some local plants/mosses from around our “venue” to use, and put a tag on them saying how it’s a piece of santa cruz to take home or something.
The other option I’m considering is seed bombs, not sure if I want creepy faces or regular spheres though.
I’d put them in some sort of bag/box/wrap with a tag explaining what they are.
Ooor if you don’t think either of these would make a good favors, I’m also totally cool with no favors, that was the original plan.

Those terrariums are adorable but I don’t like favors that can’t be used right away. Plus, that would be a lot of work. Both of those favors might not be used by everyone so I say go easy and just leave out the favors.

To be honest, I’d leave both on the table. I live an apartment so now place to use a seed bomb, and I don’t know what I’d do with a mini terrarium.

Thanks for the opinions 🙂 I’m usually in the “no favor” camp anyways, so that’s cool. I thought these would be fun to make/give, but I don’t want to waste the time/money if no one will want them, I could always just make 1 for us.

I think the seed bombs would be better for the guests, because they can “do” something with it– but I think the terrariums are absolutely adorable!!!
I would do the terrariums as center pieces, and send them home with guests you think would enjoy them, then do the seed bombs as the favors for everyone else– but definitely not the creepy face ones!

I’d take any of those faces home and just display them. I love creepy faces (I make masks and love sculpting faces). The terrariums are really cute as well. I’m not sure how many people would take them, though. But if your circle o fpeople like souvenirs from the places they visit, it might be a cool thing for them.

Although cute, the terrariums would find their way to the garbage in most situations – if people even took them. The seed bombs are cute – I’d use them. If they were wild flowers or something and I didn’t want to take them home I could plant them on my way home (but not if it’s an introduced species to the area)

Both of those favors hold no appeal to me. They’d probably be left behind, tossed, or re-gifted.

No…. don’t waste your money.

I agree with those saying dont waste your money. Favors that can’t be really useful are going to end up in the garbage…not to say that your ideas arent clever or cute

I would probably throw both out when I got home, it’s harsh but it’s honest. The seed faces are plain creepy and I might be inclined not even to bring that home.

The terrariums are adorable and I would think so until I got home and didn’t know what to do with it. The seed bombs I would probably just drop somewhere random since I don’t have a garden yard, but random flowers aren’t the end of the world. But, in the end, I don’t think you need favors and they’re expensive and time consuming so just nix it!

The terrariums are adorable, but I don’t think I’d ever actually want one. Would I be expected to drop some water in it to keep it alive? If so, people wouldn’t, and they’d toss it once it died. Unless it’s fake grass then maybe they’d keep it around since it’d still look good. The faces are creepy to me, so I really wouldn’t want to have to put that in my purse and take it home haha. And someone else brought up a good point about the plants being native vs invasive.

I completely agree with juliette.eliza 🙂

Honestly the terrariums,I could see these things being left on the table, as much as I would love them…they are dust collectors!
As for seed bombs, that is super cool..I’d probably love something like that!
