I am an identical twin and ask you to reconsider giving twins matchy names. It’s hard enough to be seen as an individual as a twin without having a similiar name. I like Chantelle and Ariella personally.

I like Charlotte and Ariella. So Charli and Ariella.. Very Cute!

And I agree that matchy names are a little bit of a turn off for me… I knew twins who were named Danielle and Michelle and it was just ridiculous. Also, just a though, the two evil stepsisters from Cinderella are Anastasia and Drizella. So the combo of Anastasia and Ariella reminded me of that

I don’t actually like any of these combinations, but I do like the names, Charlotte and Amelia. Overall, I honestly agree with previous poster, Molokoa. Strive for individuality.

I love the combo of Cassandra and Luna. They both are very old world names, so that goes well together, but they are different enough that they will be more of their own person. And please consider dropping Alizabeth spelled with an A. She will have to explain her differently spelled name every time she meets someone, and it will be a source of strife versus joy in her lovely name.

I agree that matchy names are ick – they seem cute when you’re invisioning two little babies, but your babies grow up in to adults who have to live with these names while trying to be seen as individual entities. You can still have names that sound really great together without them being matchy.

I am not a fan of the funky Alizabeth spelling, but Elizabeth is a beautiful name and I think Charlotte and Elizabeth go nicely together.

@logansmommi  I agree with the matchy name thing that molokoa said. You have to take into consideration that it’s for the rest of their lives, they will be “the twins”, it’s not just the cute little girl time when you’re going to try to dress them in matching outfits, it’s into their 40s, 50s, 60s etc too. I know twins who’ve turned to hard pathes in life, trying to prove they are their own person. They aren’t a set of people, they are two siblings arriving at the same time, that’s why schools won’t allow twins in classes together anymore (unless you’re in a small town and have no option). To further their lack of individual identity you’re thinking of matching names.

I’m not saying this with an accusational tone, I’m just telling you what I have learnt and had to think about as my Nana was a twin which heightens the crap out of my chances of having twins.

Charlotte Rose and Amelia Grace are my choices. They sound like two little princesses together!!!! I looooove both of those names AND they still go very nicely together without being matchy!

I need to second not picking a unique spelling for Elizabeth. My parents gave me a generic name with an unusual spelling and I hate it. I have to explain it to every single person I meet and a lot of them ask if that is on my birth certificate or if I changed it myself to try and “be cool”. It’s obnoxious.
