I was going to skip favors all together until my SO came up with a great idea. He’s Eritrean and they have a wonderful spice called Berbere which is a homemade blend of 13 spices. This is the secret ingredient in their wonderful dishes, and I just love it. My SO is a fabulous cook, and all friends and family who have had his cooking rave about it!! I was going to fill little mini spice jars with the Berbere and include a little tag with a popular Eritrean recipe. Our wedding is very North American, and I think it would be a great nod to his culture and it gives family and friends a chance to cook with it at home too. What do you guys think of this idea? Any bees know of some websites to buy little mini jars, and maybe even those wooden spice spoons I could tie to the jars? Thanks!

Adorable and a great way to let your fiancé know he is heard in the planning process also!

I think that’s an awesome idea! I would love getting that as a favor, & I would definitely try the recipe.
I found glass jars to be cheapest on ebay- all the other sites seemed to have very expensive shipping which drove up the overall price.

Very cool idea! Here’s a site I’ve seen before for different types of small bottles. I don’t have much to tell you on the spoons though.
