Not sure if I can post this here so if I cannot please delete. What do you think of this dress for my daughter’s communion? Does it look too “wedding” or too “formal”? Color is called “pearl blue”. I am not sure of what it looks like in person but it would be easily returnable. I hope it’s not TOO white. I am hoping it’s between a blue and a grey? What do you think? Will this necklace and shoes go with it? Also what makeup look should I do? Thank you!

I like it, classy and appropriate in my opinion. I would stick with neutral makeup, maybe a soft daytime smokey eye…

It does look somewhat “wedding”. You have a great idea going the classic route; you could, however, explore other alternatives as well:

Either silver or gold:

It seems you prefer low-heeled/flat shoes, these look comfortable and appropriate:

I would go for at least knee-length for a dress to be worn to church for an event like this. I’d also look for a dress with a closed back. It’s borderline for church purposes.

I think it looks great, I’d wear to church easily. I do agree with previous OP though, depends on how strict your church ‘rules’ can be.

It depends on your church. Our church is so large that no one notices what the mom wears, so wear what you like!

Oh, no! Shabby Apple has these, and it seems many sizes are available:
