My dress is all lace, and my veil has lace all around the outer edge. My necklace is a strand of some intricate pearls/beads. Originally I didn’t think I wanted any sparkle in my wedding look, but I think I really like this hair comb. What do you think? Does it go with what I have?
Images of what I have
And here is the hair comb on me and the model
I was also considering this but I’m worried it might look like a big sticker? This one is a clip

The comb you like looks a little big on you, but depending on your hairstyle, the scale might be appropriate. What are you planning on doing with your hair?

@Asia: Wearing it pulled up, but gathered together just above the nape of my neck. I really want to get a comb to nestle in that part.
I’m terrible at styling hair, maybe tonight I’ll try and pull it up that way and put in the comb…

I love the comb you have!!! it looks similar to the one I wore….. Gorgeous! Keep it 🙂

if you’re wearing a veil and a necklace, I wouldn’t wear a comb as well, it’s just too much in my opinion

I like that comb! But would maybe add it during the reception after you remove your veil?
Also, where did you get your shoes? Love them!!

Agreed, I think the two together would be too much. My only worry was if I accidentally muss up my hair with the switch. I was planning on consulting with my hair stylist to see if it’d be easy for my to pop out my veil and just pop in the comb without mussing anything up (since sshe’d be gone by that point).
The shoes are from Seychelles 🙂
@weddingbound: Thanks! I’m definitely starting to lean towards yes. I showed my Fiance and he seemed to like it. Which of course REALLY sways me. Going to try re-doing my hair tonight and maybe placing it at an angle where it doesn’t lay so flat against my head.

I like the first one very much.
Big thumbs down on the second one.

@lovelyduckie: Love the one you have and think it goes great with your dress

I love the comb you have! It’s a little big, but I think you can play around with placement and have it look gorgeous! (I would consider maybe wearing it just a bit lower i think…)

@lovelyduckie: I would definitely check with her, but I’m planning a veil/comb switch as well and think it’ll be fine. Just be careful!

I love the comb, it’s so pretty! I really dislike the second one you posted, the applique one. You’re right, it really does look like a giant iron-on sticker, haha.

I’ve decided to keep it. It really has the best quality for the price I’ve seen so far. Even though it’s a tiny bit larger than I originally wanted that just means I can bury it deeper in my hair and still not be worried that it’s not showing enough. It’s ironic that something from J. Crew (a store that’s usually too expensive for me) has the most reasonably priced hair comb I could find for the quality. I did see a lot I liked on Etsy, but the only ones I really liked were way pricier than this one.
Overall though, I’d definitely say hair combs are a bit overpriced.

I’m not a fan of either combs, sorrrry 🙁 I find them (especially the second) too big and I’m afraid that it will clash with your beautiful ensemble! Try finding a smaller one! Your shoes on the other hand, gorgeous!!!
